But more than just the hype, it was an amazing game, and you could only play it on the PlayStation. It quickly became the reason to get a PS1, and everyone who didn’t have one was totally jealous – even though the system already had some great games!

Considering it ran on the PSP, it was an incredibly deep and complex Metal Gear game. It really showed what the console was capable of.

However, things have really started to improve in the last couple of years, and that’s especially clear with Hideo Kojima’s new game, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.

The original Death Stranding was an ambitious first attempt, but Death Stranding 2 fully delivers on its unique vision. It’s packed with things to unlock, features a beautifully realized world that blends realism and the bizarre, and remains one of the most innovative game concepts ever created. While the PlayStation 5 has many excellent exclusives, this latest game from Kojima truly stands out as a defining title, showcasing what makes the PlayStation experience special.
