Here’s the lowdown: COTI token holders can now stake their tokens with node operators, helping to secure the network and earn rewards. Node operators can run their own treasuries, staking pools with customized terms based on the COTI treasury app. It’s a win-win situation – the network gets more secure, and node operators get more predictable and diversified income.

But that’s not all. Node licenses are required to receive rewards for helping to maintain the network. And don’t worry, they come in two forms: full licenses and lite licenses. Full license holders can run a node or assign it to another node operator, earning rewards minus a fee. Lite license holders can assign their license to a node and offer an affordable entry point for others.

The beauty of COTI’s V2 Node Ecosystem is that it offers various schemes of participation, catering to different hardware resources, investing strategies, and approaches to asset management. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a newcomer, there’s a role for you to play.

Full COTI V2 Rollout Expected in Q2, 2025

The COTI team has shared a schedule for the V2 ecosystem design, which will roll out in phases. Phase 1 kicks off immediately, with initial node operators managing V2 nodes from day one. Additional full nodes will be onboarded in the coming two months, expanding network participation. In two months, multiple treasury pools will be developed, allowing full node operators to set up and manage their own pools.

Once the onboarding of node operators is complete, treasury pools will expand to support staking for additional tokens, enabling third-party projects to leverage the COTI network for decentralized staking and liquidity incentives.

As a result, COTI’s V2 Node Ecosystem introduces a decentralized and rewarding way for participants to contribute to network security while earning rewards.
