Luckily, you can find where they are by turning on the towers in each district. But actually solving them? That’s the hard part. A lot of them aren’t just straightforward – you need to switch between characters, use the right gadgets, and even enter codes to figure them out. It’s a real challenge!

How Riddler Puzzles Work

So, I’ve been tackling the Riddler’s challenges, and when you crack each puzzle, you get a cool collectible box! They’re not easy, though. You’ve gotta hunt for hidden symbols, really master each character’s gadgets, and even figure out mirror image puzzles. Honestly, to get them all, you’ll need to switch between every single character in the game – it’s a real test of skill!

You can find Riddler Puzzle locations by turning on district towers. Keep in mind that not all puzzles will immediately appear on the map. Some are hidden inside special Puzzle Rooms that unlock only after you’ve solved enough puzzles or completed other Puzzle Rooms.

If you can’t find a Riddler Puzzle in an area, and it’s not showing up on your map, try completing puzzles in different areas. The missing puzzle should eventually reappear.

Do Towers Reveal Riddler Puzzles?

Yes, when you’re in a district, towers will show you where Riddler Puzzles are on the map, along with other things to collect or do. This makes the Riddler Puzzles a bit easier to find than hidden collectibles like Bat-Symbols, but you’ll still need to figure them out yourself.

Do You Need Specific Characters for Riddler Puzzles?

That’s right, a lot of the Riddler’s puzzles need you to use certain characters and their special tools. Although you can start some puzzles with anyone, you’ll eventually need gadgets like Robin’s staff, Nightwing’s Electric Cable Launcher, Batgirl’s Hackarang, Batman’s Batclaw, and Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer to solve them all.

If you’re stuck on a Riddler Puzzle, it might be because you haven’t unlocked the right character or gadget yet. Keep playing the story, and you’ll be able to come back and solve it later. You can find details on when characters become available in our guide to unlocking all playable characters.

How Riddler Puzzle Rooms Unlock

Okay, so some areas of the game have these special Riddler Puzzle Rooms, and honestly, they’re way harder than the Riddler challenges you find just wandering around. They mostly make you figure out where to put objects, but you have to use a mirror to see how they’re supposed to be arranged. The last one though? It throws everything at you – it’s like all the puzzle types from the game mixed into one big challenge!

Riddler Puzzle Rooms become available one after another as you solve previous Riddler Puzzles and Rooms. If you don’t see a Puzzle Room for a specific district on your map, just keep solving Riddler Puzzles throughout Gotham City and it will eventually unlock.

How to Unlock Riddler vs Cluemaster

The final puzzle challenge in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is “Riddler vs Cluemaster.” You’ll find it in Old Gotham West, but you need to collect all 60 Cluemaster Puzzle Boxes and all 60 Riddler Puzzle Boxes before it becomes available.

If you’ve gathered 60 Riddler Puzzle Boxes but the ‘Riddler vs Cluemaster’ challenge isn’t showing up in Old Gotham West, it means you still have some of the Cluemaster Puzzles left to solve.

Do Riddler Puzzles Count Toward 100% Completion?

In LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, completing all 61 Riddler Puzzles is essential for 100% game completion. Solving these puzzles throughout Gotham City finishes the open-world cleanup and unlocks the “A Watchful Collector” achievement.
