The official Naruto website, naruto-official.com, is sharing teasers about these new developments. Importantly, creators Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto have established Boruto Uzumaki as the character destined to defeat the incredibly powerful Seventh Hokage within the Boruto universe.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s Latest Promo Officially Labels Boruto Uzumaki As A Hokage Slayer

New promotional images for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex were released in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine on May 20, 2026. Created by the editors working with Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, the material offers glimpses of several characters and reveals a lot of exciting details about Boruto Uzumaki, the series’ main character.

Eida’s incredible power unexpectedly makes Kawaki’s secret wish come true. This causes a massive shift in reality, rewriting the memories of nearly everyone on Earth. As a result, Boruto is now seen as a villain – known as the “Hokage-Killer Boruto Otsutsuki” – and is falsely believed to have killed the Seventh Hokage, becoming a traitor to the Hidden Leaf Village.

The latest promotional material for Boruto depicts him as someone who defeated a god-like figure, referencing chapter 79 of the manga, which first showed this power on March 20, 2023. Following this event, Boruto Uzumaki is now known as the one who defeated the Seventh Hokage. It’s been three years since then, and the world still remembers him as the Hokage’s killer, while Kawaki is recognized as the Hokage’s son and goes by Kawaki Uzumaki. The Seventh Hokage was an incredibly powerful ninja, stronger than even Isshiki Otsutsuki and second only to Shibai. This makes Boruto Uzumaki officially a ‘God Slayer’.

Boruto Uzumaki’s new title in the Two Blue Vortex manga is important for two key reasons. It highlights his incredible power, but also makes him a target of mockery and distrust among ninjas. This situation mirrors Itachi Uchiha’s story – Boruto appears to be a disgraced ninja, even though he’s secretly working to protect his village. This complex duality, showcased in the recent promotion on naruto-official.com, adds significant depth to his character.

Boruto Uzumaki Reached God Level After Gaining The Full Power Of Momoshiki Otsutsuki

Boruto Uzumaki has earned the title of ‘Godslayer,’ and it’s more than just a nickname. While he didn’t directly cause the Seventh Hokage’s death, Boruto first demonstrated this power by defeating Momoshiki Otsutsuki in chapter 10 of the manga, published in Weekly Shonen Jump on March 13, 2017, using a massive Parent-Child Rasengan. Since then, he’s become incredibly strong through intense training – a year with Sasuke Uchiha and two years with Kashin Koji. This training has prepared him to fight opponents on the level of gods.

I’ve been following the Naruto world, and things have taken a really interesting turn with Boruto. He recently made a deal with Momoshiki Otsutsuki, another incredibly powerful being, almost like a god. This happened in the latest chapter, and it’s given Boruto access to Momoshiki’s full power – his karma. Basically, Boruto now has godly abilities. Seeing this, it makes a lot of sense why he’s being set up as someone who can defeat even gods in the ninja world.

Look, I need your help, seriously. Just listen to what I’m proposing, okay? I’m prepared to offer you a huge reward if we can defeat Jura. I’m talking… everything. Take my body, take whatever you desire, just help me take down Jura. It’s that important to me. – Boruto Uzumaki, speaking to Momoshiki Otsutsuki in Chapter 25 of Two Blue Vortex.

The recent Mamushi arc in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, which ended on April 20, 2026 in V-Jump Issue #4, offered a look at Boruto Uzumaki’s growing abilities. During the fight with Mamushi, Boruto demonstrated the power of his Karma, easily defeating multiple clones of the Shinju with just a few attacks. The arc also showed Boruto as being more powerful than his fellow rivals, Sarada Uchiha and Kawaki.

Boruto Uzumaki’s Journey To Restore Balance After Omnipotence Will Make Him Stronger Than The Otsutsuki Gods

I’ve been watching Boruto Uzumaki grow, and while he’s already incredibly strong, he’s still not at his full potential in Two Blue Vortex. He’s made huge leaps in power over the recent story arcs, but he hasn’t unlocked everything yet. The key is Karma Stage 2 – he needs to fully awaken the power of the Otsutsuki Seal with Momoshiki. When he does, he develops a horn and unlocks the full extent of his abilities. I expect this will make him easily handle powerful opponents like Jura, and eventually surpass most of the Gods we’ve seen, even someone as strong as his father, Naruto.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki told Boruto Uzumaki to stop hesitating and fully embrace his power, including Karma, and go defeat their opponents. (From Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #29)

Boruto Uzumaki has a lot of room to grow as the Two Blue Vortex manga continues. He’s far from reaching his full potential as a ninja, but by the end of the series, he could become one of the strongest shinobi ever. He’ll likely face and defeat even more powerful opponents, like the remaining Otsutsuki clan members and figures like Jura, who still pose a threat. When they inevitably target Konoha and the ninja world, Boruto will undoubtedly step up to defend his friends and family, once again becoming a legendary God Slayer. While he’s forging his own path, different from his father’s, Boruto is creating an impressive legacy that fans are excited to see unfold.

The latest story arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex began on May 20, 2024. Fans can read the newest chapters, created by Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto, on Manga Plus and Viz Media.
