Bitcoin ETFs have finally waved goodbye to their 6-week streak, with a stunning $157 million net outflow. Ether ETFs, on the other hand, seem to be living their best life with a massive $286 million inflow. Someone get these two a drink, they need it!
After six weeks of showing off their bullish moves, Bitcoin ETFs decided it was time for a dramatic exit – and boy, did they make a scene. Ending the week of May 30 with a $157.40 million net outflow, it was clear that the party was over. The real drama unfolded on Thursday and Friday, especially with a $616.22 million exit on Friday – as if Bitcoin said, “I’m out.”
The biggest heartbreakers in this story? Ark 21shares’ ARKB (-$281.98 million), Fidelity’s FBTC (-$198.86 million), and Grayscale’s GBTC (-$134.40 million). Not exactly the love letters you want to get. Smaller losses also came from Bitwise’s BITB (-$104.39 million) and a few others. Meanwhile, Blackrock’s IBIT decided to take the high road with a shining $584.49 million net inflow, just casually flexing on the competition.
Now, let’s talk about ether. While Bitcoin’s down in the dumps, Ether’s out here winning gold stars. For the third week in a row, Ether ETFs saw a glorious $285.84 million net inflow, which happens to be their second-highest weekly inflow this year. Blackrock’s ETHA stole the show with a cool $205.85 million, while Fidelity’s FETH added another $67.37 million. I mean, is this a money race, or what?
The only slight hiccup in the Ether love affair? Grayscale’s ETHE lost a tiny $4.62 million, but hey, no one’s perfect. As for the others, Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust ($8.18 million) and Bitwise’s ETHW ($4.55 million) contributed to the good vibes. Everyone’s on the Ether train – except Grayscale, who apparently missed the memo. But hey, we won’t judge.
With Bitcoin ETF sentiment turning more cautious and Ether ETFs soaring, it looks like the market might be hinting at a shift. Could this be the beginning of a new trend? Are we headed for a wild summer of crypto regulation and unpredictable risk sentiment? Stay tuned, because we can’t wait to see what happens next. Grab the popcorn! 🍿
