In Episode 10 of Season 2 for “Solo Leveling,” we embarked on the long-awaited raid of Jeju Island. Before departing, there was a training session between South Korean and Japanese Hunter teams. To everyone’s surprise, the Japanese team outperformed their South Korean counterparts in this sparring match with apparent ease.
The atmosphere shifted when Sung Jinwoo and Goto Ryuji opted to measure their prowess. Goto Ryuji was self-assured in his skills, thus he felt no hesitation about confronting the hero. Despite a few scratches on Sung Jinwoo’s face, Goto Ryuji’s assaults were easily deflected. The spectators were astounded by Sung Jinwoo, as they hadn’t anticipated him withstanding the barrage of attacks from Goto Ryuji.
Sung Jinwoo Decides To Stay Behind
The Hero Prioritizes His Mother

After their bout, Sung Jinwoo chatted with Go Gunhee and declined joining the group heading to Jeju Island for a raid. This decision took everyone, both the Hunters and viewers, by surprise. The expedition would have granted him a fantastic chance to advance rapidly and uncover new abilities, but he opted out due to his mother’s recent awakening from her Eternal Sleep.
Jinwoo Sung had gone without speaking to his mother for a long time, but when she finally regained consciousness, he seized the opportunity. In fact, he admitted that his entire voyage was motivated by nothing more than the wish to aid his mom. Thus, it’s understandable why he decided to remain with her. Additionally, after witnessing Ryuji Goto’s power, he felt assured that the mission would be carried out successfully.
The Fourth Jeju Island Raid Begins
The Start Of The Best Arc

Following unsuccessful attempts in the initial three assaults, Choi Jong-in and Baek Yonhoo remained optimistic, believing that the fourth attempt would yield success and they’d achieve their objectives. The Japanese forces were stationed on the island, poised and prepared for the upcoming raid.
While Korean hunters prepared to descend by helicopter, Japanese hunters chose to unleash their energy to draw the attention of the ants. Unfortunately, some of these ants turned aggressive towards the Koreans. However, Choi Jong-in managed to swiftly handle the situation with his fire magic, easily eliminating all of them.
The Japanese hunters found the ants hardly bothersome; they handled them with ease most of the time. However, at the end of the show, Akari Shimizu met her end by beheading – whoever did it must have been incredibly swift, as taking an S-rank Hunter by surprise isn’t effortless.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 11 Release Date
On March 15th, 2025, you can expect the thrilling Season 2 Episode 11 of Solo Leveling, entitled “The Intensity Will Only Grow.” As hinted by its title, this upcoming episode promises a more intense experience. In this installment, viewers will uncover the identity of Akari Shimizu’s killer, and it seems that suspect could be the black humanoid ant.
As a fervent observer of this fascinating ecosystem, I can’t help but express my excitement about the formidable black ant. This tiny powerhouse is poised to pose significant challenges for our unsuspecting Hunters. It won’t rest until it has eliminated them completely, leaving no stone unturned in its relentless pursuit.
The Hunters, having never encountered such a formidable adversary before, are likely to find themselves in uncharted territory. However, they can take solace in the knowledge that Goto Ryuji stands ready to stem the tide. The implication is clear: this ant has met its match!
Excitedly, I find myself rooting for Sung Jinwoo to reconsider his decision and join the Jeju Island raid. It would be a thrilling turn of events if he could lend his formidable Hunter skills to thwart this impending menace, sparing not just himself, but also his fellow Hunters from harm’s way.
