Paralives has expanded career options for your characters! A new mod adds 11 jobs, letting your Parafolk pursue careers in fields like technology, social media, and freelancing.
The new game, Paralives, has had a strong launch, selling 250,000 copies in its first eight hours. Even though it’s still in early access, players seem to be having fun with it, and there’s a lot of anticipation for future updates and improvements.
Paralives Gets 11 New Jobs
A new mod for Paralives adds 11 new careers, giving your Parafolk more options for work and professional growth. These jobs are spread across three companies – a Tech Startup, a Social Media firm, and Freelance opportunities. The mod cleverly uses skills and schedules already in the game and doesn’t interfere with the original careers. Parafolk can start earning as little as 150 Paradimes per day, depending on the job, and work their way up to 600 Paradimes a day with promotions, depending on the company they choose.

The game features several career paths for your Parafolks. Tech Startup offers entry-level IT support positions earning 280 Paradimes per day, with opportunities to advance to roles like Data Analyst or Product Manager (both 450 Paradimes), DevOps Engineer or CEO (both 600 Paradimes). Social Media careers range from 150 to 320 Paradimes daily, with jobs including Content Creator and Community Manager (both 150 Paradimes) and Social Media Manager (320 Paradimes). Freelance Parafolks can start as Web Developers earning 200 Paradimes per day and potentially move into roles like Graphic Designer (250 Paradimes) or Data Consultant (400 Paradimes). The game’s creator plans to add even more jobs and features in the future, so there will likely be options to suit all players.
You can find jobs for Paralives through mods, and installing them is now very simple thanks to Steam Workshop integration. If you’re logged into Steam in your browser, just click the link and select “Subscribe” – the mod will automatically install when you launch the game. You can also find mods by browsing the Steam Workshop directly and subscribing from the mod’s page on the New Jobs section.

Even though Paralives already offers a good selection of jobs, the game is still being developed and has potential for expansion. With continued support, Paralives could become a strong rival to The Sims, which currently has a much larger amount of content. A key difference is that Paralives plans to release all updates for free, which could make it an attractive alternative to The Sims 4, known for its many paid downloadable packs.
