Over time, author Gege Akutami developed Gojo’s character beyond his initially cool exterior, revealing a kind heart and personal goals. Despite being incredibly powerful, Gojo deeply cared for others, as shown by his rescue of Yuta Okkotsu in the Jujutsu Kaisen prequel and his subsequent guidance of Yuji Itadori.
Gojo wanted to overhaul the entire world of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Yuji also intends to live for approximately 300 more years, a feat made possible by consuming the Death Paintings 4 through 9 during the time between the Culling Game and the Shinjuku Showdown arcs, as stated by the author, Gege Akutami.
After taking in the Cursed Wombs, he transformed into a being that was both cursed and human, dramatically slowing his aging process.
Because Yuji has survived for so long, he’s poised to create a strong group over the next three hundred years – a group dedicated to the ideals of Gojo Satoru. This new generation of sorcerers will proactively hunt down cursed spirits in Tokyo, even as cursed energy naturally decreases. Gojo Satoru is undoubtedly the most recognizable character in Jujutsu Kaisen, both among fans and within the story’s universe. His birth was a monumental event, as he was the first person in 400 years born with both the Limitless and Six Eyes techniques. Gojo played a crucial role in saving key characters like Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori, dramatically altering the course of events. He was instrumental in defeating Ryomen Sukuna during the Shinjuku Showdown – without his efforts up through chapter 236, victory would have been impossible. Ultimately, Gojo inspired a new generation of sorcerers and set the stage for a completely transformed world.
