ARC Raiders: How to Unlock Raider’s Refuge Cellar (All Button Locations)

In ARC Raiders, the Rust Belt is split into four different regions across multiple maps. If you’re playing on the Blue Gate map, you might have found the Raider’s Refuge building with a locked cellar door. This door has four lights that activate when you find and press buttons hidden around the area. This guide will show you exactly where to find those buttons so you can unlock the cellar door in ARC Raiders.

How to Unlock Cellar Door in Raider’s Refuge in ARC Raiders (Blue Gate)

Raider’s Refuge is a location on the Blue Gate map, found in the northwest area. It’s known for having decent loot, and players can find a locked cellar door leading to a basement with some of the best items in ARC Raiders, including Epic and Legendary gear.

If you’re doing the ARC Raider’s Locked Gate event, be sure to open the cellar in Raider’s Refuge. It often holds the Ancient Fort Security Code or the Bobcat Blueprint, which are important for completing the event.

To unlock the cellar door at the Raider’s Refuge, you need to find four hidden buttons, both inside and outside the building. Because the button locations change each time you play, I can only give you the most common spots to help you find them all and open the locked door.

When you first visit Raider’s Refuge in ARC Raiders, it’s a good idea to use a basic, free loadout. This lets you explore and learn the area without worrying about losing your valuable gear.

Raider’s Refuge is a busy area with lots of enemy activity from both Raiders and ARC Machines. You’ll find many flying Rocketeers, along with Snitches, Wasps, Hornets, Spotters, and Bombardiers. Be careful inside the main building, as there’s a Turret hidden inside!

All Raider’s Refuge Button Locations in ARC Raiders

This guide details the typical spots where you’ll find the buttons needed to unlock the cellar door of the Raider’s Refuge in ARC Raiders.

Common Button Locations #1
The button can be located right in front of the cellar door, towards the right. It might be on the ground, in front of the cellar door. You may find it hidden between the plank and the wall of Raider’s Refuge doorway. It might be towards the left of Raider’s Refuge doorway.

You may find the button right in front of the generator. The power button might be located next to the doorway of Raider’s Refuge. It might be sitting on top of the overhang on the west doorway. Players will need to use the zipline inside the building to climb through the window and reach the overhang. Another common button placement is directly above outdoor AC units, towards the left side of the overhang.

Once you get on top of Raider’s Refuge, drop into the collapsed ceiling, and you may find the button under the floorboards to the left. The second location for the button is just over the floorboards, behind the long chair. Another location for the button is just behind the small shelf to the right. The other locations are at the beginning of the floor boards, and on top of the roof tiles, near the bush.

One button can be found high up on the broken structure to the left. Players will need to use the zipline to reach there, and jump at the right moment to grab the ledge and activate the button. A similar location for a button can be found directly opposite to the previous one. Players will need to use the AC units to climb to the platform and activate the button. Another button can be found on the first floor, next to the bin you can breach and search.

There are two potential locations of the button near the watch tower, one on the overhang and the other atop the tower. You can reach the tower either by taking the zipline or through a long ladder inside Raider’s Refuge.

One of the buttons can be found near the northern entrance of Raider’s Refuge, inside the fallen steel panels.

The last set of common button locations can be found on the damaged roof of Raider’s Refuge. Mostly inside the tiles and on makeshift metal roof plates.

There are ruins of a house to the north of Raider’s Refuge, the one that has a zipline on it. There’s a possible button spawn inside the house.

Check in the southeast direction of Raider’s Refuge, and there are two different ruins of houses. One of them has a basement that contains a possible button spawn. The other house to the back has a metal cage, and a button can spawn next to it.

To find buttons at Raiders Refuge efficiently, since their locations are random, it’s best to cover as much area as possible quickly. Begin your search at the two small buildings in front of the Refuge (see location #9). Then, check the button spawn area near the Cellar door (location #1).

Okay, so to get around the Raider’s Refuge, I need to check out spots #2 and #6 first. That’ll lead me to the back of the building where there’s a shack – it’s marked as location #8. From that shack, I can take a zipline right up to the top of the Raider’s Refuge and then check out the areas they’ve pointed out in location #3. Sounds good, let’s do it!

Okay, so to solve the Raider’s Refuge puzzle in ARC Raiders as quickly as possible, I need to head up to the building and check for button spawns on the roof – specifically in areas #5 and #7. Then, I’ll go inside and search location #4, and also around the yellow generator. That should let me knock out all the buttons and finish the puzzle super fast!

Once you locate all four buttons, the lights will turn green, unlocking the cellar door in ARC Raiders. Climb down the ladder and search the basement’s cabinets, drawers, weapon cases, and crates to find valuable items.

You’ll usually find the best items – like materials for crafting, tool blueprints, weapon designs, and powerful weapons – in the basement. Once you’ve collected everything, make sure to leave the area quickly to return all your loot to Speranza in ARC Raiders.
