Speaking of demons, this particular fantasy race has become a staple even outside of its own “fantasy” genre. From a King to a butler to a caretaker, it’s easy to find demon characters doing all sorts of things in various anime. For this article, we focus on one specific type of demons: the Demon Girls.
On Crunchyroll, Demon Slayer has firmly held the second position with over 500,000 ratings. However, it has finally been usurped by Solo Leveling. Much like Demon Slayer, Solo Leveling has been propelled to the heights of fame in just a few years. The first season of the anime laid a strong foundation, and the subsequent installment built on it.
Originally launched in 2003, Valve’s digital storefront was originally packaged as a way to easily update its games. At the time, the Steam client was supported primarily on Windows XP and older operating systems, including Windows 98. In the ensuing years, support for older Windows PCs running Windows 98 and XP ended. Since then, Steam has evolved into the leading launcher and storefront for PC gamers worldwide. Following the success of Valve’s Steam Deck, the SteamOS used by the popular tablet will make its way to other devices like the Lenovo Legion Go S starting in May 2025.
Even though the start of 2025 has brought some strong competition from the likes of Monster Hunter Wilds and Avowed, Valve’s hyper-competitive shooter has remained firmly in the top spot on Steam. On February 16, Counter-Strike 2 surpassed 1.7 million concurrent players, setting a new peak player count for the game. Now, just under a month later, it’s done it again.
Sony’s Columbia Pictures is taking Starship Troopers back to the drawing board. The 1997 original has become a cult classic in the years since its release and it did launch an admittedly lackluster multimedia franchise. An animated series, multiple direct-to-video sequels, and a host of video games have kept Starship Troopers in the background of public consciousness for years, but none of these projects have lived up to the hyper-violent and hyper-satirical film helmed by Paul Verhoeven. Weirdly enough, the Helldivers franchise of video games has done a better job of successfully mimicking Starship Troopers than it’s own products have. This time around, Sony and Columbia are changing things up instead of dipping into the same old well yet again.
The unveiling of the new game will happen at the Star Wars Celebration event taking place on April 19. This gathering will feature multiple Star Wars-related activities and updates.
Joy Boy is a significant character in “One Piece,” yet much about him remains unknown to fans as of now. He was initially introduced during the post-timeskip period, around the Fishman Island arc. Fans were aware that Joy Boy had strong ties to the Void Century and carried great significance overall.
Like many fellow tabletop players, I dislike wordy rule books, and if I have to read through ten or more pages of rules, and I mean just rules alone, my brain will certainly want to pack up, turn the lights off, and shut the door. Many tabletop game novices and veterans alike might agree that sometimes it’s a lot more fun to just dive into the game and get the hang of it as you go, using the rules as just a list of suggestions and corrections. Monopoly, even this recent hybrid of Monopoly and Scrabble board games, makes for a good example.
One challenge players encounter with the game, particularly Pokemon TCG Pocket, is that it’s tough to accumulate Pack Points and spending them on desired cards can be a struggle. A frequent proposal from fans has been to enhance the usefulness of Shinedust, such as allowing it to serve as an alternative to Pack Points. It appears that the developers may have taken this advice to heart, although perhaps not in the way intended, since Pokemon TCG Pocket is now phasing out Trade Tokens and intends to integrate trade functionalities with Shinedust instead.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ release date is fast approaching, but the road to its launch hasn’t all been smooth sailing. The game has been delayed multiple times, with Ubisoft remaining aware that it needs a big hit, especially with its flagship franchise. It will be the first RPG in the franchise since 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, making it quite a wait for fans who prefer the bigger-scale games in the series. Hopefully, Ubisoft delaying the game until it’s ready for release is a sign that gamers are in for a great experience on March 20.
