Since its much-awaited launch in late July, Grounded 2 has quickly become popular on Xbox Game Pass, ranking among top games like Fortnite, Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Rocket League in the service’s ten most-played titles. Similar to the first Grounded game from 2020, Grounded 2 tells the story of children who are mysteriously reduced to the size of insects, but this time the adventure takes place in a large public park instead of a backyard. As they collect materials, create weapons and armor, and battle scary bugs, the kids work to find a way to return to normal. Now, a new update from Obsidian adds even more engaging gameplay, along with a terrifying new creature to encounter.

This week, the Epic Games Store is giving away two free games: Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy. If you haven’t heard of them, Eastern Exorcist is a 2D action RPG where you battle demons using a cool combat system. It received generally good reviews when it came out in 2021. Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy, released in 2023, is a point-and-click adventure game that takes inspiration from the classic titles in that style.

Last September, PlayStation Plus announced it would be removing four games from its ‘Last Chance to Play’ section. An Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership gives you access to a large library of games, including new titles available on the day they launch. These day one releases are the main reason people subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, and there’s a lot to be excited about in the coming months. The Xbox Game Pass October 2025 lineup looks particularly impressive, featuring major day one releases such as Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 coming soon.
