Bitwise has made its Canton ETP available to European investors on Deutsche Börse Xetra, allowing them to easily trade and gain exposure to CC, the token that powers the Canton Network.
Summary
- Bitwise launched BWCC on Deutsche Börse Xetra, offering exchange-traded exposure to Canton Coin.
- The Canton ETP tracks Kaiko’s reference rate and carries a 0.85% annual fee.
- Related reports show 21Shares recently launched TCAN, giving U.S. investors Canton Coin ETF access.
Bitwise’s product, traded as BWCC (ISIN DE000A4ARTH9), follows the Kaiko CANTO Reference Rate LDNLF index. Bitwise announced on Tuesday that the annual expense ratio for BWCC is 0.85%.

The company also stated that the investment product is completely supported by CC tokens securely stored offline. Investors can purchase or sell it through standard brokerage accounts, meaning they don’t need a separate cryptocurrency wallet.
Canton targets capital markets
As a crypto investor, I’ve been looking into Canton Network, and it seems really interesting. It’s a blockchain specifically designed for financial markets, and what’s cool is it focuses on privacy. Even better, it wasn’t built in a vacuum – major players like Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Börse, and Broadridge were all involved in its development. That kind of institutional backing gives me a lot more confidence in its potential.
This network allows banks and other financial companies to digitally issue, trade, and finalize asset transactions while protecting confidential information. Unlike public blockchains, where everyone can see every transaction, this system keeps details private, according to Bitwise.
Bradley Duke, Head of Europe at Bitwise, announced the launch of the Bitwise Canton ETP, adding it to their existing range of European crypto products. He explained that Canton is designed to meet the strict requirements of institutional investors by offering features like privacy, the ability to work with other systems, and customizable programming.
U.S. Canton ETF adds context
This European launch follows 21Shares’ recent introduction of the 21Shares Canton Network ETF (TCAN) on the Nasdaq. As crypto.news previously covered, TCAN allows U.S. investors to gain exposure to Canton Coin through their existing brokerage accounts, eliminating the need to directly hold the tokens themselves.
TCAN launched on May 7, 2026, with an initial expense ratio of 0.50%. According to a crypto.news report, TCAN aims to serve institutional investors by focusing on settlement, privacy, and tokenized markets, and it anticipates involvement from both banks and tech companies.
21Shares announced that institutions like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, and Deutsche Bank helped test, validate, or govern the Canton network. However, 21Shares clarified that their participation shouldn’t be seen as an approval of TCAN, Canton Coin, or the network itself.
Institutional tokenization push grows
As an analyst, I’ve been watching Canton closely, and it’s definitely attracting interest from investors focused on tokenization. We recently saw the price increase following a deployment by Societe Generale’s SG-FORGE, who are using Canton for regulated euro and dollar stablecoins. Specifically, they’re leveraging the platform for institutional collateral and repo financing, which is a key driver of this attention.
According to the report, TCAN made it easier for authorized users to access Canton. Meanwhile, strong interest from institutions pushed CC above $0.16. At the time of this report, CC was trading near $0.16, with a total market value of approximately $6.23 billion.

With the launch of BWCC, investors now have another option for regulated investment in the blockchain technology that supports financial markets.
