The recent 1.08 update for Crimson Desert introduces Baby Wyverns! These cute companions aren’t simply discovered in the wild – we’ve already found a Wyvern Egg and learned how to hatch it. We’ve created a guide to help you get your own adorable flying pet, which will eventually grow into a massive, rideable Wyvern.
The Wyvern Egg is located at the Wyvern’s Cradle, and we’ve included a map below to help you find it. Our guide will show you how to quickly tame a Baby Wyvern, giving you a head start on raising it into a powerful, rideable adult.
Where to Find the Baby Wyvern Egg in Crimson Desert
- The Baby Wyvern Egg is located at Wyvern’s Cradle, which is in the southwest area of Delesyia, shown on the map above.
When you reach Wyvern’s Cradle, go east into the caves. You’ll see a Bismuth rock in your way. To break it, use the Focused Force Palm technique (press L3 + R3 + R3) on the Bismuth. This will reveal a golden orb – hit the orb to shatter the rock.
You’ll discover a hidden cave where you can find the Wyvern Egg. Simply press Square (on PlayStation) or X (on Xbox) to pick it up, and then Circle (PlayStation) or B (Xbox) to add it to your inventory. Now all you have to do is hatch it!
How to Hatch & Tame the Baby Wyvern Egg in Crimson Desert
- Still in the Wyvern’s Cradle area, you can follow the left side of the cave to find the Wyvern’s Nest, which we’ve marked on the map above.
First, open your Inventory and select the Wyvern Egg to pick it up. Then, approach the small nest made of sticks and use the designated button combination to place the egg inside.
After you place the Wyvern Egg, it will glow orange. In five real-time minutes, it will start shaking, and you can interact with it to hatch a Baby Wyvern. Once hatched, the Baby Wyvern will become your pet.
When Does the Baby Wyvern Become an Adult Wyvern in Crimson Desert?
Baby Wyverns will be able to grow into adults and can become registered as mounts.
This isn’t included in the current 1.08 version, but the developers at Pearl Abyss (who are also making Crimson Desert) have said it will be added in a future update, so keep an eye out for it!
