Senku faces opponents who try to defeat the Kingdom of Science through brute force, like Tsukasa, Shishio, Moz, and Kirisame. However, Minister Ibara is a different kind of threat – he uses both strength and intelligence to intimidate others. He’s a clever and perceptive leader who secretly hid the fact that Treasure Island’s real leader was petrified.
I watched as Ibara quickly figured out someone had come to the island, and he was surprisingly good at countering Senku’s high-tech inventions. He was a real physical and mental powerhouse, and honestly, he almost beat Senku. He was a much bigger threat than Tsukasa ever was, even managing to use Senku’s own communication devices against the Kingdom of Science. It was impressive, and a little scary. Ultimately, Ibara was defeated, but Senku made it clear he had no intention of bringing him back, even though he’d happily revive people like Hyoga and Moz. It really showed me who Senku considered a true danger.

As a huge fan of Dr. Stone, I always thought Senku was in a league of his own – seriously, his intelligence is unmatched! That’s why I was so excited when Dr. Xeno showed up in the Science Future Arc. He’s finally a true match for Senku! But it’s not just that they both love science; it’s a much darker story with Xeno. While Senku’s all about progress for everyone, Xeno’s been hurt. He’s really bitter about how adults tried to take advantage of his smarts and use his inventions for their own selfish gains.
Dr. Xeno became the harsh leader he is now because of past experiences, initially acting as a rival to Senku in Corn City. Luckily, they’ve resolved their differences and are now working together to achieve their goal of a moon mission. This is crucial, as Dr. Xeno’s extensive knowledge of science and space is essential to Senku’s plans.

Senku Knows Something About Everything as a Young Polymath
Senku Ishigami is undoubtedly the most intelligent and strategically gifted character in Dr. Stone. While incredibly bright, the anime cleverly balances his strengths by giving him physical limitations, making him relatable. Importantly, Senku isn’t arrogant and willingly asks for help. He’s also a great leader, valuing friendship and assigning tasks to those best suited for them. Senku prioritizes the success of the Kingdom of Science, refusing to let personal feelings like pride or resentment get in the way.
Senku is incredibly smart, possessing a wide range of scientific knowledge without focusing on just one area. While others like Sai and Ryusui might be better at specific skills – like calculations or navigation – Senku isn’t bothered by this. He’s a brilliant leader who uses his scientific vision to motivate others, encouraging them to use their own unique talents to contribute in ways he can’t. This ability to inspire and utilize the strengths of those around him is what makes Senku such a strong leader and a compelling hero.
