As a huge fan of realistic military shooters, this game looks amazing! It’s set during the Vietnam War and lets you approach missions however you want – you can sneak around, set up ambushes, or just go in guns blazing. I love that you can customize your weapons and use different vehicles. Plus, you can play it alone, with friends in co-op, or even compete against others in PvP. And the best part? They’ve included a mission editor, so you can create and share your own scenarios! It seems like endless replayability.

Beyond Enemy Lines – Vietnam is a Game to Get Lost In
Players excited about Beyond Enemy Lines should be aware of a few key differences from Gray Zone Warfare. Unlike Gray Zone Warfare, you won’t be able to play the campaign with a full squad; co-op is limited to two players. Also, Beyond Enemy Lines mixes linear missions with large, open areas, similar to a modern Call of Duty campaign. Despite these changes, it still appears to offer a lot of what Gray Zone Warfare fans will enjoy. The open areas, for example, are huge and will require vehicles like helicopters to fully explore. The game’s Vietnam War setting will feature familiar terrain, including the intricate tunnel systems seen in games like Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Players exploring the Vietnamese jungles will find a wide range of weapons, offering options for any combat situation. They’re free to tackle battles however they choose – whether through stealth, long-range sniping, or aggressive direct attacks – and all approaches are effective. As players eliminate enemies, they’ll complete optional missions and improve their weapons, unlocking attachments to customize their gear. These attachments will have both advantages and disadvantages, allowing players to fine-tune each weapon to fit their playstyle. The game also tracks detailed combat statistics, similar to what you’d find in Call of Duty, and shares other features with that popular series.
Like Call of Duty, Beyond Enemy Lines – Vietnam offers more than just a campaign. Players can also enjoy co-op missions with smaller objectives and player-versus-player (PvP) battles. The number of players supported in PvP is currently unknown – it’s not yet clear whether matches will be small-scale or large, like those in Battlefield. It’s important to note that co-op and PvP won’t be available when the game first enters early access; they will be added gradually as development progresses towards the full release.
The good news is that players won’t have to wait long for the full release of Beyond Enemy Lines – Vietnam. The developers are planning to keep the game in early access for just 2 to 4 months.

As a huge fan, one of the things I’m most excited about for the future of the game is the promised map and mission editor! It’s something the community has been asking for forever, and it sounds amazing. Basically, we’ll be able to build our own levels and missions right inside the game, and even use the AI to make things really interesting. The best part? We can share our creations with each other, meaning potentially endless new maps for PvP and tons of fresh PvE missions. And it’s all cross-platform, so everyone can join in! If you were like me and loved games like LittleBigPlanet or spent hours making maps in Far Cry, this could be what makes Beyond Enemy Lines – Vietnam a truly unforgettable FPS.
