Ki blasts are central to the power system in Dragon Ball. Many series feature strong fighters, but Dragon Ball stands out with its uniquely thrilling special attacks.
This series is known for its characters with incredibly strong energy attacks, often blasts of Ki. This article will compare some of the most devastating beam attacks to determine which one is the most powerful.
The Super Kamehameha Is The Most Iconic Technique
Users: Most of the Heroes
The Kamehameha is arguably the most famous and instantly recognizable technique in all of anime, and it’s been a core part of the Dragon Ball franchise from the beginning. Over time, characters like Goku have mastered it, pushing its power to incredible levels.
Nowadays, the Super Kamehameha is the most commonly used version of the attack, as the power levels in the series have increased dramatically with the Super installments. While other techniques might be more powerful, the Kamehameha remains a dependable and iconic move for any fight.
The Final Flash Has Immense Destructive Potential
User: Vegeta
Vegeta demonstrated the power of his own ultimate attack, the Final Flash, during the Cell Saga, effectively responding to the perceived strength of the Kamehameha. The Final Flash is remarkable because Vegeta can build up an immense amount of energy and release it in a devastating attack capable of defeating even much stronger opponents.
Vegeta used the Final Flash against Perfect Cell and it even caused significant damage to Jiren during the Tournament of Power. However, the Final Flash has a major drawback: it takes a long time to charge. While charging, Vegeta is vulnerable and has to try and trick his opponents into being hit by it.

The Special Beam Cannon Recently Saw Its Strongest Version
Users: Piccolo, Gohan
The Special Beam Cannon is a hugely popular and iconic attack from the Dragon Ball series. Created by Piccolo, it’s been one of his signature moves since the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, and now Gohan’s Beast form unleashes its strongest version yet.
This attack is incredibly powerful and precise, working like a drill to break through anything it hits. However, like the Final Flash, it takes a long time to charge up to full power, leaving the user vulnerable to attack during the charge. These two attacks function in essentially the same way.
The Divine Kamehameha Makes Use Of God Ki
User: Goku
During the Tournament of Power, Goku achieved an incredible new level of power with his Ultra Instinct transformation. While mastering the technique took time, he combined it with his existing God Ki and skills, creating an even more impressive range of attacks, the most powerful of which was the Divine Kamehameha.
This technique is almost exactly like a standard Kamehameha – it looks and works the same way. The main difference is its incredible power, boosted by Goku’s God Ki. In the anime, Goku used it in a spectacular move while in his Ultra Instinct Sign form: he leaped over Kefla’s attacks, flipped in front of her, and fired it at close range.
The Galick Kamehameha Was Incredible
Users: Goku, Vegeta
The Kamehameha is the most common attack in the series, and because of this, it’s incredibly versatile. Goku, in particular, often performs it in unique and unexpected ways. A fascinating aspect of the Kamehameha is its ability to be combined with other techniques.
A great example of this teamwork is the Galick Kamehameha, where Goku and Vegeta combined their signature moves – Goku’s Super Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Galick Gun – to create an incredibly powerful beam attack. While it wasn’t enough to defeat Broly, it was still unbelievably strong.
The Final Kamehameha Is A Devastating Attack
User: Vegito
Vegito is a powerful warrior created when Goku and Vegeta fuse using the Potara Earrings. He’s significantly stronger than either of them individually. His fighting style combines techniques from both Goku and Vegeta, and his most powerful attack, the Final Kamehameha, blends Vegeta’s Final Flash with Goku’s Kamehameha.
Okay, so this attack is amazing! It’s like the best of both worlds – you get all the power of these two incredible moves without any of the drawbacks. The biggest thing is, it’s fast! We saw Vegito unleash a Final Kamehameha at Zamasu almost instantly, which is usually a super-long charge-up attack. It would have taken out pretty much anyone else, but Zamasu’s body is just… indestructible. Still, even though Zamasu survived, the sheer power of this attack was seriously impressive!
The Full Force Kamehameha Is The Strongest Beam Attack
User: Gogeta
Perhaps the most impressive attack in the whole series never actually landed on an enemy. After Gogeta dominated Broly without receiving a single blow, he tried to finish the fight with a devastating, instantly fatal strike.
He unleashed a Kamehameha with a lengthy charge-up, resulting in an incredibly powerful blast – the largest we’ve ever witnessed. Although Broly was teleported away before it could hit, the attack would have instantly defeated him if it had connected.
Dragon Ball can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
