Elden Ring Switch 2 Edition Release Date Seemingly Leaked

Even though Elden Ring was released in 2022, its dedicated fans are still incredibly passionate about the game, and excitement is building again for something new.

There’s excitement around a potential live-action adaptation of the video game, as it’s being directed by Alex Garland, known for films like ‘Warfare,’ ‘Civil War,’ and ’28 Days Later.’ Also, the game hasn’t yet been ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, despite previous announcements.

The release date for a special version of Elden Ring, called Tarnished Edition, may have been accidentally revealed by a Canadian retailer called PNP Games, potentially hinting at news about the next Nintendo Switch model soon.

A Reddit user first noticed that the game will likely be available as a digital game key on July 10th, a Friday – a common release day for modern video games.

As of today, the release date for the Tarnished Edition of Elden Ring is still listed on PNP’s website and hasn’t been taken down. For anyone who’s wondering what’s included, this special edition will feature:

This release includes the base game, the ‘Shadow of the Erdtree’ expansion, and new options to customize Torrent’s armor and appearance.

Amazon started taking pre-orders for Elden Ring on the new Switch 2 console a month ago, but they didn’t list when the game would actually be available. Currently, Amazon still doesn’t have a release date, but that will likely change as soon as one is officially announced.

Predicting exactly when this will happen is difficult. There’s been talk of a Nintendo Direct presentation in June, which could be a good opportunity for an announcement. However, Nintendo often surprises us, like they did with the unexpected Star Fox reveal, so anything is possible.

Elden Ring’s Switch 2 Port Has Been Highly-Anticipated

The Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be much more powerful, and fans are especially hoping for popular games from other companies to appear on the system. At the top of everyone’s wish list is Elden Ring – the idea of playing that game on the go is incredibly exciting!

The game’s release was postponed, probably to allow for further improvements, and Bandai Namco stopped sharing updates for a while. It reappeared at the Game Developers’ Conference earlier this year, and the new version ran much smoother whether played on a TV or in handheld mode.

Now that pre-orders are open and a release date appears to have been revealed, it seems likely the product is almost ready for launch, fueling even more excitement.
