Pressure 1 is the first challenge in Everything Is Crab, marking the true start of the game. Don’t worry if you struggle at first – it’s common to fail a few times as you learn the ropes after the initial tutorial.
In Everything Is Crab, players need to survive for 20 minutes while fighting off waves of smaller enemies, tougher Alpha hostiles, and four massive bosses. This guide offers helpful tips for beginners to beat all the bosses on Pressure 1 and successfully complete the first stage of the game.
Follow the Question Marks
While playing Everything Is Crab, players will frequently see question marks appear on the screen’s edge. Following these marks leads to interesting locations where you can find rewards or start special events by interacting with structures.
Once players discover seven Points of Interest (POIs), they’ll unlock the Pioneer Genetics upgrade. This upgrade makes POIs appear 50% more often, helping players improve their stats during a playthrough by letting them claim more POI benefits. It works especially well with the Nomad evolution, allowing players to quickly gather research points and level up.
Use Mutagen Points
In Everything Is Crab, players earn Mutagen Points by beating challenging enemies. These points let you customize your crab! You can spend 1 point to get a new set of evolution options when you level up, or spend 10 points to unlock even rarer and more powerful evolutions.
Choose Affinities and Evolution Wisely
As you play and evolve your crabs in Everything Is Crab, you’ll start to favor certain species types. These preferences fall into five categories: Predator, Prey, Gregarious, Imposing, and Trickster.
Players will likely mix and match evolutions from different areas, but it’s usually smartest to focus on evolutions that complement their current strategy. For instance, if a player has chosen plant-based evolutions like Herbivore or Vegan, picking evolutions focused on hunting (Predator) won’t be as effective, since they won’t gain as much benefit from meat as they would from fruits and vegetables.
Once players gain a few levels, they can choose a creature type, which helps them decide which abilities to upgrade.
Beware of Your Biome Before a Boss Fight Begins
It will be harder for players to win boss battles if the environment – like the terrain or weather – doesn’t suit their character’s current abilities.
For an easier boss fight, players should head to the grassy area. It has comfortable weather and terrain that’s good for all creatures, letting you concentrate on the battle itself instead of worrying about things like overheating or waiting for your stamina to recharge.
