Still shaken by the events in the Sector 7 Slums from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Cloud, Tifa, and Barret continue to help people in the surrounding areas by taking on various jobs. This time, they’re asked to help Ms. Folia at the Leaf Orphanage, as several children have gone missing.

You might recognize these children from the ‘Kids on Patrol’ side quest in Chapter 8 – you need to finish that one before this job becomes available. Their exact locations aren’t shown on your map, so this guide will help you find them for the ‘Missing Children‘ quest in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Where to Find the Missing Children in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Begin your search by talking to Ms. Folia, who is located across from the weapon shop. To find the children, walk down the alleyway to her left. Follow the path and turn right when you reach a fork in the road. After going through the tunnel, turn right immediately and open the door at the end – this will lead you to the Slum Public Cemetery.

As soon as you enter, you’ll find Oates standing alone in the center of the area. He explains that he and the other orphans were righting fallen tombstones when they encountered a problem, which begins the next part of this side quest.

How to Beat the Phantoms in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

You’ll soon encounter two Phantoms. Here’s what you need to know to beat them efficiently:

  • They are weak to fire, so focus on this element with your magic attacks.
  • If the Phantoms use ‘Reflect’ to negate magic attacks, switch to physical damage.
  • You can block some of their ice attacks, but dodge any crystals.
  • Stay outside the ‘Essence Drain’ AoE.

Once you defeat the two ghosts, the rest of the children return, and one of them gives you a Time Materia they discovered. You’ll also have all your HP and MP completely refilled.
