In Forza Horizon 6, you can earn points by taking pictures of specific items, helping you finish the Photography log. One tricky item to find is the Tanabata Streamer.
These colorful decorations, called fukinagashi, are like windsocks traditionally displayed during Japan’s Star Festival. They symbolize the power of creativity and craftsmanship for everyone in Japan. We spotted some hanging in the Ohtani area, close to Mei’s House, and we’ll share the precise location below.
Tanabata Streamer Location in Forza Horizon 6
Once you get past the beginning of Forza Horizon 6, you’ll start unlocking houses where you can keep your cars and customize them. Your first house is located in the Ohtani region and is owned by Mei. You can find decorative Tanabata Streamers there, especially during the summer months.
Okay, so if you’re driving near Mei’s House, you can’t miss the Tanabata Streamers! If you’re heading towards Mei’s, look to your right – they’re hanging on poles just a little way south of her place. They’re really easy to spot!
When you find a nice spot, press the up button on the D-pad to open photo mode. Taking a picture will then reward you with 100 Discover Japan points.
What If It’s Not Summer?
If you’re playing Forza Horizon 6 and it’s not currently summer, you won’t see the Tanabata Streamers in the location shown. To fix this, you can join a summer-themed Eventlab challenge created by another player near Mei’s House. Luckily, Jumpycode has provided a code to help you complete the challenge quickly: 155442421. Here’s how to use it!
- Go to the main menu.
- Go to the Creative Hub.
- Click on Eventlab.
- Choose to Play Challenges.
- Hit the associated Search button at the bottom.
- Leave all the fields in the search box alone, except for the Share Code box.
- For the code, use ‘155442421.’
- Choose the route that’s specifically for the Tanabata Streamers photo.
- Once the event starts, press the up button on the directional pad to enter photo mode and snap a pic to earn 100 Discover Japan points.
