I’ve been following the Dragon Ball video game scene for a while, and Dragon Ball FighterZ, released back in 2018, is easily one of the best – maybe the best – they’ve ever made. What’s really impressive is that Bandai Namco is still adding new characters to it, even after all this time. They just announced at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 that adult Goku from Dragon Ball DAIMA will be joining the roster, and he’s looking incredibly powerful in his SSJ4 form. We’ll be able to play as him very soon!
The upcoming DAIMA Pack DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ will add SSJ4 Goku with 12 different outfits, plus new stamps and lobby avatars inspired by the Dragon Ball DAIMA anime. A new trailer showcases how well Arc System Works understands and appreciates the Dragon Ball series – SSJ4 Goku looks and moves just like he does in the Dragon Ball DAIMA anime, complete with realistic weight and monkey-like motions.
Super Saiyan 4 Goku (DAIMA) Joins Dragon Ball FighterZ’s Roster
The new trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ showcases Super Saiyan 4 Goku battling Kid Buu, and then transforming. This confirms that Goku began training to achieve this form immediately after his final fight with Majin Buu. This also changes what was previously shown in Dragon Ball Kakarot, where it was stated Goku needed help from Neva to become a Super Saiyan 4. In Dragon Ball FighterZ, Super Saiyan 4 Goku fights just like he does in the Dragon Ball DAMIA anime, incorporating the power of the Great Ape into all of his attacks and movements.
Goku’s powerful Super Saiyan 4 form allows him to use the Transcendent Kamehameha, an attack so intense it caused tremors throughout the Demon Realm. The latest trailer shows Super Saiyan 4 Goku confidently battling Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, suggesting he’s significantly stronger than his version from the original Dragon Ball GT series. The DAIMA Pack for Dragon Ball FighterZ includes stamps featuring SSJ4 Goku posing, an annoyed Majin Duu, and a confident Majin Kuu. Players can also customize their lobbies with new avatars of Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, and Panzy.
Goku (SS4, DAIMA) is coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ as DLC on April 22, 2026.
