How to Do Focused Aerial Roll in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, the Focused Aerial Roll is a unique move that lets Kliff cover much more ground than standard flight. You unlock it by reaching Focus Level 3, Flight Level 2, and learning the Aerial Roll skill.

Players can perform a Focused Aerial Roll by activating the Focus ability while airborne, then pressing the dodge button. This puts them into a very fast flight mode that continues as long as they have stamina. This ability is unique to Kliff; Damiane and Oongka have different ways of moving quickly.

How to Unlock Focused Aerial Roll in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, players need to unlock certain Kliff abilities before they can learn the Focused Aerial Roll. Here’s what you need to get first:

  • Focus Lv. 3
  • Flight Lv. 2
  • Aerial Roll

You’ll find the Focus ability on the green Spirit skill tree, while Flight and Aerial Roll are both on the red Health skill tree. You automatically learn Flight during Chapter 1 of the story, Focus during Chapter 2’s ‘The Reunion’ quest, and Aerial Roll after defeating the Crowcaller boss in Chapter 5.

You can unlock skills ahead of schedule by using Abyss Artifacts in the skill tree. If you’re concerned about making the wrong choices, don’t be – you can later convert these artifacts into Faded Abyss Artifacts and get your resources back.

How to Use Focused Aerial Roll in Crimson Desert

After learning the necessary skills, you can do a Focused Aerial Roll by first activating Focus while in the air, and then quickly pressing the dodge button. This puts you into a special flight mode that continues until you stop it or run out of stamina.

Depending on which platform you’re playing Crimson Desert on, your control scheme will be different.

  • On PC: When flying, activate Focus by pressing X, and then dodge mid-air by pressing Alt to enter Focused Aerial Roll.
  • On Xbox: When flying, activate Focus by pressing L3 + R3, and then dodge mid-air by pressing O to enter Focused Aerial Roll.
  • On PS5: When flying, activate Focus by pressing L3 + R3, and then dodge mid-air by pressing B to enter Focused Aerial Roll.
