Once you’ve destroyed the limiters with Bruce during the His Vile Sanctum quest and are taking cover with him, you’ll be teleported to a cave leading to Vile Lictor’s Fortress. Be careful not to fast travel or exit the game during this part – or before the Umbral Foundry loading screen appears – as this could prevent you from finishing the quest. Fortunately, there’s a simple solution to regain access to the Fortress.

To continue, players need to go back to the Substation Canonary in Stoneblood Forest – it’s a landmark just to the left of Vile Lictor’s Fortress. Inside, follow the same route you took with Bruce until you reach a rift. Use your grapple hook to pull yourself through the rift and you’ll emerge near Vile Lictor’s Fortress. From there, complete the steps to get Bruce’s core to a computer and create Bruce Bombs. These bombs can destroy the purple barriers blocking the entrance to the Umbral Foundry. After finishing His Vile Sanctum, you can quickly return to the Umbral Foundry using the Fast Travel station inside.
