How to Rush in 007 First Light

I was stuck on the “Rush Over an Edge” part of the Tier 2 training in 007 First Light‘s TacSim! It sounds simple – you’re supposed to grab an enemy and throw them over the edge – but it’s trickier than it seems. I kept trying, but the objective wouldn’t trigger, and I realized I must not be doing it quite right. It’s a really specific move – you have to hold R2 while you grab and rush them!

We’ll show you how to use the Rush ability and, more importantly, how to properly push enemies off ledges with it. Many players accidentally push enemies instead of using the intended method, so we’ll cover that too.

How to Rush Enemies Over An Edge in 007 First Light

Unlike ledges, where you throw opponents off, an edge involves pushing enemies towards an opening where they can fall off.

To run quickly, press and hold the R2 (PlayStation) or RT (Xbox) button. This will make Bond grab an enemy and run with them. If you do this near an edge, Bond will push the enemy over and use them as a shield to protect himself from falling.

The video above will demonstrate exactly how this mechanic works, so as you can see:

  • Hold R2/RT at an enemy.
  • Keep holding R2/RT, even as you approach the edge.
  • Bond and the enemy will fall over the edge and land on the ground.
