Okay, so I figured out the Memory-Laden Ruins puzzle in Crimson Desert! Basically, you need to find the right buttons to push. There’s a map in the first room that shows landmarks with symbols on them. Those symbols tell you exactly which buttons to hit – it’s like the map is giving you the solution!

Memory-Laden Ruins Puzzle Location in Crimson Desert

You can find the Memory-Laden Ruins on the eastern coast, just north of Delesyia and above the Beardtree Gorge. Look for the spot marked on the map – it’s indicated by a Mysterious Energy point of interest, which will lead you right to the ruins.

In the Mysterious Energy zone, search for old, crumbling stone ruins covered in red, thorny vines. Use an Explosive Arrow or Blinding Flash to burn away the vines on the bushes. This will uncover a staircase leading down to the Memory-Laden Ruins.

How to Solve the Memory-Laden Ruins Puzzle in Crimson Desert

Once you reach the bottom of the stairs, you’ll enter a room with two braziers providing light. A metal door leads further into the ruins, and on the walls beside it, you’ll see two identical engravings: a map with four red X marks pointing to locations near recognizable landmarks. These X marks show where to find the clues you’ll need to solve the puzzle – we’ll explain more about that soon.

For now, don’t worry about the map that’s etched into something. Instead, open the metal door and step into a room filled with spikes. Inside, you’ll see wooden platforms on both sides, connected by ropes.

Cut the ropes to release the platforms, then use them as stepping stones to get across the room.

To get to the last puzzle, go through the door at the end of the hall. You’ll enter a room with eight buttons – four on each wall.

To solve the Memory-Laden Ruins puzzle, you’re meant to use the map found in the first room and go to the spot marked with an ‘X’ to discover the correct symbols. However, if you’d rather not figure it out yourself, you can jump to the end of this guide for the solution.

Where to Find All X Marked Locations From Memory-Laden Ruins’ Map

The map shows the area around the Red River, which is just north of the Memory-Laden Ruins. Four large, tropical trees are marked with an ‘X’ – these trees have the symbols you need. The screenshots above pinpoint exactly where to find each tree and what symbol is carved into it.

Memory-Laden Ruins Puzzle Solution

To complete the puzzle in the Memory-Laden Ruins, use the Force Palm ability on these buttons in the last room:

  • Arrow facing downward
  • Arrow facing upward
  • Arrow facing left
  • Arrow facing right

The four buttons are all on the left side of the room, and you can press them in any order.

After activating all four buttons with Force Palm, the gate to your reward will open. Then, interact with the Abyss Cresset to finish the Memory-Laden Ruins challenge, unlock a new fast travel location, and get a Forgotten Memory.

The Forgotten Memory, an item in your inventory, will show you where five hidden caves are located in Delesyia – these caves are behind waterfalls.
