In Arknights Endfield, simply leveling up your Operators and equipping strong weapons isn’t enough to maximize their potential. You’ll also need to outfit them with Gear to further improve their stats. While this system is similar to equipping items in other gacha games, how you get Gear is different. Instead of directly farming for it, you’ll collect Gear Templates, which are connected to the game’s factory management features.
Where to Get Gear Templates in Arknights Endfield
As you play, you’ll slowly unlock blueprints for basic gear simply by leveling up your Authority. While you’ll find and purchase some blueprints throughout your adventure, unlocking better equipment usually requires progressing further in the story.
Gear Templates are like crafting recipes that let you create all the equipment your Operators need. To make Gear, go into AIC mode and choose the ‘Gear Assembly’ option, which you’ll find in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Gear Rarity
Gear comes in four different rarities:
- Grey/Green
- Blue
- Purple
- Gold
Gear improves your Operators’ stats and abilities, with rarer gear offering bigger improvements. Gear can also come in sets that grant unique bonuses. Finding the right gear sets is a key part of building powerful characters in Endfield.
Your equipment always has set stats, so you don’t need to hunt for items with ideal bonuses. However, if you’re focused on optimizing your character, you can unlock Artificing later in the game to further customize your gear.
Crafting Gear
You can craft all gear using the Gear Assembly menu. To get the materials you need, you’ll have to use your base factory, known as the Automated Industry Complex (AIC).
To craft better gear, you’ll need a variety of materials, so it’s important to keep track of what your automated industry complex (AIC) is making. Whenever you discover a new material, try to incorporate it into your production process – you’ll need as many resources as possible to improve your equipment.
