The Hyacinth Macaw is a stunning and sought-after bird in Crimson Desert that players can keep as a pet. Though it behaves like other pet birds, its rarity makes it a special find to show off to others.

The Hyacinth Macaw can be found at the Giant’s Yard Outpost near the Red River in the Crimson Desert. You’ll need to be patient and bring lots of fruit to feed it if you want to make it your pet. See our guide below for more details!

Where to Find the Hyacinth Macaw in Crimson Desert

  • The Hyacinth Macaw is located at the Giant’s Yard Outpost Camp in the Redtree Forest.
  • This area will need to be liberated from the Wolf Trackers, and it’s in the southeast region of the Crimson Desert. We’ve tagged it above on the map.
  • Once you reach this location, you’re going to want to take the Sotdae of Bond from your inventory and place it on the cliff.
  • The Hyacinth Macaw is a waiting game, so you’re just going to have to be patient and wait for the blue bird to land on your Sotdae of Bond.

Hyacinth Macaws don’t always appear, and other birds might eat the food placed on the Bond Sotdae. If that happens, you’ll unfortunately have to relocate the Sotdae.

How to Tame the Hyacinth Macaw in Crimson Desert

  • The Hyacinth Macaw’s favorite food is Desert Melons, but you can use Insects, Grains, and Fruits.
  • You can purchase Desert Melons from Grocers and other vendors in Tomasso and the Crimson Desert Region.
  • Place your Sotdae of Bond by the cliffs of the Giant’s Yard Outpost Camp and wait for the Hyacinth Macaw to land.
  • After the Hyacinth Macaw eats enough food, and the bond reaches +100 Trust, you can interact with the bird to claim it as a pet.
