Mina the Hollower Map Location

Okay, so I’ve sunk over 10 hours into Mina the Hollower and I was seriously stressing about finding the map! I kept running around in circles. Turns out, it wasn’t some hidden, far-off place at all! It’s actually super close to Ossex, the town you keep going back to for shops and to talk to people. I felt so silly once I realized I’d been running right past it this whole time! I figured I’d share how to get it, just in case anyone else is as directionally challenged as I am!

Before you start exploring, keep in mind that the map in Mina the Hollower doesn’t show every detail of the game world. Instead, it mainly tracks your progress and helps you see which important items you’ve collected and which ones you haven’t. It’s still a useful tool if you’re trying to find all the Trinkets, upgrades, and other collectibles.

How to Get the Map in Mina the Hollower

Rebel Barracks

Before you begin, make sure you have at least one Kear and have already been to the Hollower’s Guild in Ossex – it’s the building on the right as you enter town. If you don’t have a Kear yet, you can buy a few from a shop in town. You’ll also need an extra Plasma Vial.

To get the map, you need to find a specific character and safely guide them out of a small dungeon. Start by heading south from Ossex into the Southern Outskirts: Commons area. Go past the guards and down the southern stairs. Continue down until you reach a wall, then look to your left for a block you can unlock with a Kear.

Just so you know, we’ve started up three Generators now. If you can’t reach this area, don’t worry – just continue with the main story and finish some more dungeons, and you’ll be able to access it later.

Once you’ve used the Kear, jump down and defeat the enemies. Then, activate the switch in the corner to retract the spikes on the left. Next, use your Plasma Vial on the yellow block marked with the number ‘1’ to open the entrance to the Rebel Barracks.

Finding Rhene

This area isn’t about solving difficult puzzles. Once you reach the lower levels, you’ll find a golden NPC named Rhene who needs help. Use a Vial to heal her and get her moving. Then, you’ll need to carefully guide her through the rest of the area. Keep an eye on her – if she falls behind, you might need to tell her to follow you again. Also, remember she can’t jump very far, so you’ll sometimes need to clear obstacles like gates or spikes to help her progress.

After leaving the Rebel Barracks with Rhene, she’ll express her gratitude and let you know she’ll be waiting at the Hollower’s Guild Hall in town. You should go back there now.

Hollower’s Guild Hall

When you arrive in Ossex, you’ll see a large building on your right – that’s the Guild Hall, and it’s close to the entrance to the Underlab. Go inside, and then dig under the back wall to get into the main hall where Rhene is. After you enter, Rhene and Muriel will tidy up a little and let you know Drillhardt is missing. Don’t worry, he’s just stuck underground! Dig under where he should be to free him.

You’ll immediately get new customization options for your Underlab. Plus, you can talk to Drillhardt to buy the Isle Map for Mina the Hollower! While you can only see the map when you’re in the Underlab, it’s a really helpful guide to all the important locations in the game.

The basic map costs 500 Bones. If you buy it, you can then purchase the Enhanced Map for another 500 Bones. This upgraded map shows you where all the collectibles are and provides checklists for each area.
