As a big ARC Raiders fan, I was happy to see another patch dropped! It fixes those annoying crashes on PlayStation 5 and gets rid of an item-duplication exploit people were using. It’s not a huge update on its own – just fixes, really – but the developers, Embark, are promising a really big content update, called Riven Tides, is coming next week, and I can’t wait!
Riven Tides is the last planned major update for ARC Raiders in 2026, but Embark intends to support the game for ten years, so more updates are likely. While Embark hasn’t revealed all its plans for the year, the game’s roadmap gives players a good idea of what’s coming. We’ve already seen the Headwinds update in January, which introduced a new, somewhat debated, 1v3 matchmaking mode, along with minor map changes. February brought Shrouded Sky, and March saw the release of Flashpoint. Now, with April nearly over, players are getting ready to dive into the Riven Tides update.
Embark Releases New ARC Raiders Update for April 21
Before the release of the Riven Tides update, a small hotfix is available now for ARC Raiders players. This patch fixes a crashing problem on PlayStation 5 and prevents players from exploiting a bug that duplicated items. Embark Studios has also announced that new items in the in-game store will be delayed until the Riven Tides update launches on April 28. Because this hotfix only includes these two fixes, a full list of changes hasn’t been released.
Since its release late last year, the game ARC Raiders has faced a recurring problem with item duplication exploits, appearing almost monthly. The developers at Embark have consistently released updates to address these issues, but players keep discovering new ways to create duplicate items and weapons. A particularly easy exploit surfaced a few months ago, allowing players to quickly duplicate throwable items like Rubber Ducks and sell them for a significant profit. Embark responded quickly, patching the bug and penalizing those who took advantage of it.
Many PlayStation 5 players have been experiencing crashes, and this problem seems to have gotten worse after the “Flashpoint” update for ARC Raiders on March 31st. Some players reported multiple crashes during a single game session. While some may still encounter issues, a recent hotfix released on April 21st should improve stability for console users.

Today’s ARC Raiders update doesn’t include any new content, but a new map is coming soon! Players have been eagerly awaiting a new map since the release of Stella Montis in November 2025, and Embark has announced it will arrive next week on April 28th. The update, called Riven Tides, will add a large new ARC enemy—likely similar in strength to the Queen and Matriarch—the third Expedition Window, and a brand-new map set along the coast.
