Old Gotham South hides nine Riddler Puzzles for you to find. You can solve some of them using only Batman, but others will need help from Robin, Jim Gordon, or Nightwing. To see the puzzle locations, open the in-game map and move your cursor around – the coordinates will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

What You Need Before Solving Every Old Gotham South Riddler Puzzle

You won’t be able to solve all the Riddler puzzles in Old Gotham South right away. Some of them need characters you unlock later, like Robin and Nightwing, or specific upgrades. While you’ll use tools from Jim Gordon and Batman for certain puzzles, you should already have those by the time you’re fully exploring the area.

All Old Gotham South Riddler Puzzle Solutions

Anti-Monitors Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 290, 352
Required Character: Robin

Okay, so this Riddler puzzle in Old Gotham South is a real pain! You need to power it up with two big batteries and two small ones, plugging them into the cube’s connections. What makes it so tough is that the game doesn’t tell you that you actually need Robin to help! You have to use his Cable Launcher to connect one of the small battery terminals – it’s a sneaky detail that tripped me up for a while.

Here’s what you should do:

Look for the satellite dish on the roof and grab the large battery connected to it (296, 354).
Insert the battery into the terminal across the roof from the Riddler cube (295, 347) to activate a lift.
Grab the small battery next to where you collected the large battery and insert it into the terminal on the side of the building where the lift stops.
Drop to the building just north of the Riddler cube. Walk a few steps forward and grab the small battery on your left.
Drop the small battery close to the building with the Riddler cube, next to a small battery terminal on the side of the building.
Use Robin’s Cable Launcher to connect the battery to the terminal.
Return to the roof with the cube, grab the large battery that is powering the lift, and insert it into the terminal that is behind you to open the container with the cube.

Feeling Steamed Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 291, 338
Required Character: Batman

To solve the puzzle, switch to Batman’s Thermal Vision and scan the tools near the flaming pillar. Follow the pipe on the ground – it leads to a wall you can blow up with the Spray Explosive. Once the wall is gone, turn the wheel to put out the fire and grab the cube.

Gloomy Tunes Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 285, 338
Required Character: Any character

To solve this puzzle, you must move three electrical antennae so the red line on the wall aligns and stops directly under the question mark. Here’s where they need to go:

Left antennae: Third question mark
Middle antennae: Fourth question mark
Right antennae: First question mark

Turn the Other Leak Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 264, 339
Required Character: Jim Gordon

Use Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer to halt the water leaking onto the battery terminal. Next, carefully pick up the large, disconnected battery and place it back into the terminal located by the machine on the far side of the roof.

To get the crank, head around the corner and destroy the satellite dish. Once you have it, turn it fully to the right, then place the two large batteries – the wet one and the one currently powering the machine – into the slots beside the cube. This will unlock access to it.

Lightning Round Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 287, 316
Required Character: Any character

To solve this puzzle, pull the lever beside the cube, then quickly hit three targets before time runs out. You’ll find one target right above the lever, another on a column to your left, and the last one on the wall behind and to your right. Batman’s Batarang is ideal for hitting them all.

Seek-quence Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 322, 293
Required Character: Jim Gordon

To unlock the puzzle, pull the five levers in a specific order. You can find this order by using Batman’s UV Vision to examine the paint cans near the cube, then checking the sign hanging above it.

Head onto the roof behind the sign, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the fire, and interact with the lever.
Fall off the edge of the roof to the left of the cube to reach Gotham Books. Use Batman’s Batarang to destroy the web on the wall and use the lever that drops to activate the nearby terminal.
Go back to the roof with the cube and use the lever in the north-west corner.
Follow the corridor to the right of the cube and drop to the next lever.
The final lever is just left of the cube.

Pattern Recon-ition Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 364, 293
Required Character: Any character

To solve this puzzle, you need to hit three targets – the top-left, top-right, and the one in the middle – with a thrown weapon like a Batarang. You can discover the correct target sequence by using Batman’s UV Vision to examine the paint cans near the puzzle; this will reveal the solution on a wall. Just remember, the solution shown on the wall is flipped upside down!

Service Charge Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 348, 278
Required Character: Nightwing

Begin by going to the building north of the cube. You’re looking for a gear without a handle. Smash the boxes to the right of the handle, then pick up the lever that drops. Attach the lever to the handle and turn it until the green light on the terminal directly opposite you is facing upwards. This will power up the cube.

Climb onto the roof using the cube to locate another crank. Turn this crank until the green light faces up, which will power the cube again.

Trace the last wire from the cube to the west side of the building – you’ll find a device there. Use Nightwing’s Cable Launcher to connect this device to another one located on a rooftop across the gap. After they’re linked, go to that rooftop and turn the crank until the last green light is facing upwards.

Cog-nitive Dissonance Riddler Puzzle Solution

Coordinates: 330, 271
Required Character: Jim Gordon

To solve this puzzle, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer to freeze the spinning circles in the right spots. The question mark needs to be facing upwards, and the other four symbols should be aimed at it. When a symbol is correctly positioned, it will turn green. If you need to reset things, you can use Batman’s Batarang to destroy the foam and start over.
