One Piece: 7 Villains Who Will Make A Comeback In The Final Saga

One Piece is known for its remarkably well-developed and powerful villains, created by Eiichiro Oda. From the start, the series introduced compelling antagonists who continue to play a role in the story, even after decades and as the series approaches its conclusion.

Eiichiro Oda often brings back characters from the past and gives them more significant parts in the story. We can expect to see several familiar faces – including villains – reappear in the final arc. Some villains have already returned with expanded roles, and even more are coming.

Enel

  • Last Seen: Fairy Vearth

Enel is a major villain in the One Piece series and is expected to reappear later in the story. After being defeated in the Skypiea Arc, he traveled to the moon and uncovered the mysteries of a lost civilization.

Enel also battled Space Pirates and began to ally with an army of robots. Considering his vast knowledge and powerful Devil Fruit abilities, it seems highly likely he’ll reappear in the final part of the story.

Charlotte Katakuri

  • Last Seen: Whole Cake Island

Charlotte Katakuri was the primary opponent Luffy faced during the Whole Cake Island arc, and quickly became a fan favorite. Their fight was intense and ultimately a clash of beliefs. Although Luffy won, both fighters gained a deep respect for each other. Fans have been hoping to see Katakuri return to the story, and it looks like that moment may be coming soon.

After Big Mom and Perospero were defeated on Whole Cake Island, Katakuri has become the leader of what remains of the Big Mom Pirates. His main goal is to protect his family, and forming an alliance with the Straw Hat Pirates seems like the most logical move. It’s highly likely that Katakuri will join forces with Luffy in the Final Saga to fight against the World Government. While he’s only appeared briefly, like during Vegapunk’s broadcast, his full return is certain.

Big Mom

  • Last Seen: Wano Country

Big Mom is a major villain in One Piece, and was once one of the most powerful pirates as one of the Four Emperors. Though defeated by Kid and Law in the Wano arc, she proved to be incredibly strong. Since her defeat, she hasn’t reappeared in the story. Her crew searched frantically for her after the volcano erupted in Wano, but it’s unknown if they ever located her.

Although everyone believes Big Mom is dead, Oda hasn’t directly confirmed it, and characters often return from seemingly fatal situations in this series. Considering her incredible toughness and resilience, surviving the Wano explosion isn’t impossible. Furthermore, despite her villainous actions, Big Mom shares some surprising similarities with Luffy, suggesting she isn’t entirely evil. Therefore, her reappearance in the Final Saga would be thrilling, particularly if she were to join forces with the Straw Hat Pirates.

Kaido

  • Last Seen: Wano Country

Kaido was one of the most powerful pirates in the world, ruling as one of the Four Emperors. He was defeated during the battle in Wano Country, falling into a volcanic eruption alongside Big Mom. Currently, neither of their fates are known. However, given Kaido’s extraordinary resilience, if Big Mom somehow survived the explosion, it’s likely he did as well.

As a huge One Piece fan, I’ve been thinking a lot about Kaido. It’s become clear to me that he was actually waiting for Joy Boy to reappear, and when Luffy beat him, Kaido finally understood he’d been fighting Joy Boy’s successor all along! If Kaido does somehow come back – and I really think he might – his whole purpose in the story could flip. Instead of being an enemy, he’d probably join forces with Joy Boy. Honestly, that would be an incredible turn of events, and I’m really hoping we get to see it happen!

Don Krieg

  • Last Seen: Pirate Island

Don Krieg first appeared as a villain in the Baratie Arc during the East Blue saga. After that, he disappeared from the story for a long time, only recently reappearing on Egghead Island. He was briefly shown among the pirates on the island while Vegapunk was speaking. While we haven’t learned much about what he’s been up to since, the author, Oda, likely has a significant role planned for him now that he’s brought the character back.

Krieg was completely defeated in the Grand Line – even with a fleet of thirty ships, he couldn’t last a week. His arrival in the New World proves he’s become incredibly powerful. It looks like he’s teamed up with the Blackbeard Pirates, hinting he’ll be a significant player in what happens next.

Gin

  • Last Seen: Pirate Island

Gin was Don Krieg’s most trusted assistant and an important figure in the Baratie storyline of One Piece. He’s recently reappeared in the story, spotted on Pirate Island during the Egghead Arc.

It’s currently unknown what his exact purpose is, but he seems to be working with the Blackbeard Pirates, suggesting he’ll become significant later on. Gin and Sanji have agreed to meet again at sea, and it looks like that reunion will happen before long.

Doflamingo

  • Last Seen: Impel Down

Donquixote Doflamingo is widely considered one of the most compelling villains in One Piece, particularly due to his role in the Dressrosa arc. Since his defeat, he’s been held in the Impel Down prison and only reappears when the author, Eiichiro Oda, needs to reveal more information about the World Government and its mysterious leader, Imu.

Doflamingo is currently imprisoned in Impel Down, but he’s expected to escape soon. Once he does, he’ll likely cause trouble again. Many fans believe he’ll join forces with the Cross Guild and fight against the World Government, which makes his future storyline very promising.
