When their battle finally ended, they perished, and life began to flourish on their bodies – mechanical beings on Mechonis and organic creatures on Bionis.
Players will journey across the massive bodies of both Bionis and Mechonis as they explore. While the game doesn’t show a zoomed-out map of these areas, it’s a creative concept and a technical feat for the Wii. The remastered version, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on the Switch, makes this impressive world look even better.
Cyberpunk 2077

As a huge fan, I’d say Cyberpunk 2077 is like Grand Theft Auto 5, but set in a really detailed, futuristic city. That gives you a basic idea, but honestly, it’s way more than that! The world feels so gritty and alive, with everyone just trying to survive and get ahead while massive corporations control everything.
The city constantly showcases a vision of a better life through its massive buildings and bright advertisements. Beyond the city limits, however, lies a harsh and lawless wasteland. What truly brings the world to life are the unique characters you encounter – from robots dressed in clothing to cyborgs openly displaying their mechanical parts – all of which contribute to a sense of realism.
Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds, similar to previous Monster Hunter games, is an action role-playing game. However, it’s the first in the series to feature a completely open world. A key strength of the Monster Hunter games is how realistically the monsters’ habitats reflect their behavior.
Okay, so in the starting area, Windward Plains, there’s this creature called Balahara – it’s seriously weird. It digs into the sand and just swims through it like it’s water! Then, when you get to the Scarlet Forest, watch out for Lala Barina, a massive spider that somehow pretends to be a flower. Honestly, this game is beautiful and amazing, but it’s also super dangerous. You really have to be careful because threats can come from anywhere.
South Park: The Stick Of Truth
Living Out Your Cartoon Dreams
South Park: The Stick of Truth is a role-playing game where battles happen turn by turn, and it shares a similar feel to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth by tapping into feelings of nostalgia. The game is packed with references to past episodes and moments, so longtime South Park fans will especially appreciate all the inside jokes and familiar details.
This game marked a significant improvement in the visual quality of the South Park world, allowing players to explore everything from Cartman’s messy room to a portion of Canada. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I was so excited for Hogwarts Legacy! It’s an action RPG, and honestly, a big part of why I love it is the nostalgia. The game takes place long before Harry ever arrives at Hogwarts, and you get to create your own student and experience life there. They’ve really brought the school to life – from the cozy dorms and detailed classrooms to exploring all the grounds, it feels like you’re actually at Hogwarts.
This game features the largest and most detailed Hogwarts ever created, and while it takes some time to learn the layout, exploring the castle is a real joy. Fans who have waited since 1997 for a truly immersive Harry Potter game will especially love being able to fly on a broomstick over the lake and through the forest.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
