Wondering if you could survive a zombie apocalypse? You might have a chance under ideal conditions, but surviving a deadly outbreak that transforms people into flesh-eating zombies and mutated creatures on the Spencer Rain is extremely difficult.
In Resident Evil: Dead Aim, a former Umbrella researcher named Morpheus D. Duvall takes over a cruise ship, the Spencer Rain, and infects everyone on board with the T-virus, turning them into monsters. After threatening to launch virus-filled missiles at the US and China, agents Bruce McGivern and Fong Ling are sent to stop him and contain the outbreak at sea. The ship proves incredibly dangerous even for these skilled agents, which made me wonder how a normal person would survive such a terrifying situation.
The Spencer Rain Makes Raccoon City Look Like a Five-Star Resort
Raccoon City is often considered the most perilous place in the world of Resident Evil. It’s filled with zombies and terrifying creatures, and the constant threat of military attacks adds to the danger. However, despite all the horrors, people can actually escape Raccoon City and survive. Surprisingly, your chances of survival are actually higher there than on the Spencer Rain.
Being lost at sea is terrifying on its own, but this situation is far worse. The ship’s crew and passengers have been transformed into zombies and other monstrous creatures, and nothing could have prepared anyone for this horror. Just moving through the ship is difficult, with blocked passages and tight spaces, and danger lurks around every corner. Someone – or something – named Morpheus seems to be controlling everything, trapping everyone in a desperate situation. The Spencer Rain isn’t just a ship you can’t escape; it’s a living nightmare.
What Exactly is Trying to Kill You on the Spencer Rain?
It’s easy to assume a large cruise ship would have plenty of supplies to survive on for a while – a well-equipped kitchen, medical facilities, and even security with weapons. However, simply having those resources isn’t enough. Without knowing where things are – no maps or access codes – you won’t be able to reach many areas of the ship, making those vital supplies unreachable.
Let me tell you, surviving on the Spencer Rain is brutal. No matter how much stuff you manage to find, it always runs out. You’ll go through all the water and food way faster than you think. And if you’re stuck in just one section of the ship, forget about it – most of the supplies are unreachable, and what you can find will be gone in days. Honestly, being trapped on that ship with no way out? You’re doomed, no matter how good you are at surviving. It’s just a matter of time.
You Wouldn’t Survive the Spencer Rain. Nobody Would
Let’s be realistic: you wouldn’t last very long in a Spencer Rain overrun by mutants. Someone without any fighting skills, medical training, or survival experience would probably only survive a couple of hours, if that. While the infected would likely be the biggest threat, even if you could fend them off and avoid Morpheus, you’d eventually die from hunger and thirst.
Look, I’ve played a lot of Resident Evil, and places like Raccoon City and Spencer Mansion are scary, sure, but you could actually get out of those situations. There was always a way to run, a place to escape to. But the Spencer Rain? That was different. Seriously, there was nowhere to go. You’re stuck on this island, completely surrounded by ocean, with no rescue coming and your supplies dwindling. It wasn’t about if you’d die, it was when. I could beat a lot of Resident Evil scenarios, but the Spencer Rain? That was a guaranteed loss.
