The recently revealed *Palworld: Palfarm* appears to blend elements from *Palworld*, *Animal Crossing*, and *Stardew Valley*. Despite still being in early access, *Palworld* has been hugely successful, selling millions of copies and gaining immense popularity on Xbox Game Pass, even setting new records. While a Nintendo lawsuit has required changes to how players summon Pals, interest in the game remains strong.
Since its early access release in early 2024, *Palworld* has been significantly updated with new Pals, areas to discover, and features that are building towards the full 1.0 release. While *Palworld* 1.0 is planned for 2026, the developers aren’t stopping there. Pocketpair plans to continue supporting the game with updates after launch and is already working on a major spin-off title to expand the *Palworld* universe.
Pocketpair, the creators of *Palworld*, have announced their next game, *Palworld: Palfarm*. Unlike the original *Palworld*, which focuses on survival, *Palfarm* is a relaxing life simulation game where you manage a farm and use your Pals’ unique skills to help with tasks. The game features social interactions similar to *Stardew Valley*, including building relationships with NPCs and even finding romance. You can also play with friends in co-op mode, a popular feature in both *Palworld* and farming sims. While the interactions feel like those in *Animal Crossing*, *Palfarm* maintains the darker, more mature tone that *Palworld* is known for.
Palworld: Palfarm Trailer
The new trailer for *Palfarm* highlights how the game works, and it doesn’t hide the more unsettling aspects of *Palworld*. After all, *Palworld* is like *Pokémon* but with guns, and this will be obvious in *Palfarm*. The trailer shows a disturbing merchant playing Russian Roulette, and ends with the player character cruelly capturing a cute Pengullet, betraying its trust.
Currently, there’s no confirmed release date for *Palworld: Palfarm*, but it will be exciting to follow its development. As of now, the game is only announced for Steam. However, given the popularity of *Palworld* on PlayStation and Xbox, console versions are likely being planned. *Palworld* fans should expect more details about *Palfarm* in the coming months.
