Pi Network’s PI Token Surges After Co-Founder Speaks At Miami Crypto Summit

Pi Network’s PI Reclaims Key Support Ahead of Founders’ Speeches in Miami

A major cryptocurrency event is happening from May 5th to 7th, and two representatives from Pi Network – Chengdiao Fan and Nicolas Kokkalis – are scheduled to speak.

The project’s token price increased slightly over the last 24 hours, likely because people are getting excited and the system was recently updated.

Co-Founders to Speak

The upcoming conference will feature prominent figures from the crypto world, including Changpeng Zhao from Binance, Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple, and Michael Saylor. Eric Trump, Kevin O’Leary, and Grant Cardone are also scheduled to speak. With over 500 speakers total, the event will also include the co-founders of Pi Network, who will be present today and tomorrow.

Chengdiao Fan will be speaking on May 6th from 11:15 to 11:35 AM EDT about how web3, AI, and blockchain can work together to create practical applications. According to a post on X, she’ll discuss how Pi Network’s technology, including its identity verification system and large user base, can help build useful products and new business models for the age of AI.

Pi recently made significant progress in AI and blockchain by completing over 526 million verification tasks. This was achieved by combining the power of new technology with contributions from real people.

Nicolas Kokkalis will be part of a discussion panel on Thursday from 10:15 to 10:45 AM EDT at the Convergence Stage. The panel, titled “How to prove you’re human in an AI world (without doxing yourself),” will explore how it’s becoming harder to trust online interactions as AI allows for the creation of realistic bots and fake profiles.

The team said both these sessions will highlight the project’s approach to the AI era:

Pi aims to foster eco-friendly products and businesses using blockchain technology, secure digital identities, and a worldwide community. It also offers a built-in system to verify people’s identities and ensure the authenticity of goods and services.

Pi Network’s founders have often made significant announcements at large events, so many in the community are hoping for similar news this time around.

PI Price Rebounds

The project’s token price surged to $0.20 last week, but quickly fell back down to $0.17. It recovered quickly over the next few days, and earlier today, it rose above $0.186. This price movement followed recent updates and announcements about the project’s future plans.

While most cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, saw a price increase yesterday – with Bitcoin reaching over $81,500 for the first time in three months – PI didn’t participate in that rally. However, PI is currently showing gains and remains the 45th-largest cryptocurrency based on its total market value.
