A talented artist from the Pokemon community has posted some intriguing concept art, depicting hypothetical evolutions of certain Pokemon, blended with the character of Shellder. These unique fan-created designs seem to draw inspiration from the Slowbro lineage, as this beloved creature undergoes two distinct evolutions throughout the mainline Pokemon games, both combining with a different Pokemon, specifically Shellder.
The creativity within the Pokemon community continues to amaze, as evidenced by this artwork. Even though Eevee is one of the earliest creatures in the Pokemon series, originating from the first Generation 1 titles more than two decades ago, it remains the focus of numerous fan art pieces today. This isn’t shocking, given that Eevee’s irresistible cuteness and versatile evolutionary abilities have not only made it a beloved character among fans but also a symbol for the franchise as a whole. The Pokemon truly achieved this level of fame when it received its own game alongside Pikachu in 2018 with the “Let’s Go, Pikachu!” and “Let’s Go, Eevee!” games.
Even though fans have concocted numerous theories about potential Eeveelutions in upcoming Pokemon games, an artist named PhantomLink2782 has unveiled a distinctly original Eeveelution design called Crusteon. This imagined member of the Eevee clan draws from the Water and Poison types due to its fusion with Shellder. The Slowking-inspired design features extensive shell plating across Crusteon’s body, giving it a predominantly purple hue that signifies its Poison type. Additionally, the artist who dreamt up this concept also revealed a shimmering version of the design reminiscent of Lapras.
This Awesome Eeveelution is a Testament to the Pokemon Community’s Creativity
In a creative twist, Eevee wasn’t alone in receiving custom evolutions with these fan-made concepts. Additionally, the creator also unveiled Shellder-inspired makeovers for Azumarill and Psyduck. Custom evolutions, redesigns, and unofficial “fakemon” designs are highly sought after by the community. However, it’s worth noting that Pokemon enthusiasts have produced numerous Eevee-themed designs, mainly due to fans’ fascination with envisioning potential future Eeveelutions based on different types.

Despite continued anticipation for more Eevee evolutions in upcoming Pokemon games, the Normal-type character hasn’t had a new evolution in over a decade. The last officially introduced Eeveelution that fans have seen is the Fairy-type Sylveon, which debuted alongside its type in Pokemon X and Y. Interestingly, players will revisit the Kalos region this year with the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but it appears that no new Eeveelution will be introduced during that time.
