A new leak for the Pokemon Pokopia DLC suggests it will add more than 100 new Pokemon to the game. Pokopia already features over 300 Pokemon for players to collect, including special event-only Pokemon like Hoppip and Sableye.
Launched last March, Pokemon Pokopia quickly became the most popular game on the Switch 2, offering a relaxing and engaging life simulation experience. Players take on the role of a Ditto cleverly disguised as a human Pokemon trainer, tasked with restoring life to deserted islands and attracting Pokemon to come live there. While the game is already quite comprehensive, fans are hoping for an expansion that includes even more content, considering there are over 1,000 different Pokemon in the series.
Pokopia DLC Could Be Adding More Pokemon and Other New Features
Fans have been speculating about what the DLC for Pokemon Pokopia will include, from new characters to additional islands to explore. A recent tweet from leaker Light_88_ suggests the DLC is planned to launch in the first quarter of 2027 and will add over 100 new Pokemon. While the specific Pokemon haven’t been revealed, the leaker mentioned that the starter Pokemon from Pokemon Winds and Waves – Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua – might be included.
The game Pokemon Winds and Waves is currently planned for release in 2027, though an exact date hasn’t been announced yet.
