Red-Feathered Raptor Mount Location in Crimson Desert

Raptors are now appearing in the Crimson Desert, and you can tame them to ride as mounts if you’re up for the challenge! This guide will walk you through everything you need – including what to feed them and where to find them.

You can tame a Red-Feathered Raptor at the Crimson Mountain Fortress, located in the eastern part of Tashkalp. This guide will show you exactly where to find them and what food they need, so you can add this adorable dinosaur to your collection of pets and mounts!

If you’ve already captured Crimson Mountain Fortress, you can turn on the ‘Reblockade’ option in the Settings. This will randomly cause enemies to try and retake the fortress, though it’s currently possible they won’t always send Raptors. The developers at Pearl Abyss are aware of this issue and plan to fix it shortly.

Where to Find & Tame Raptors in Crimson Desert

You can find and tame Raptors near the Crimson Mountain Fortress, located in the eastern part of Tashkalp within the Crimson Desert.

We’ve noticed Raptors only appear when this area requires clearing of enemies. If you’ve already defeated all the enemies here, they might not spawn, as their appearance is tied to the presence of enemy riders. Thankfully, Pearl Abyss usually addresses problems like this quickly.

If you haven’t already completed the Crimson Mountain Fortress, you can still get a Raptor! Just bring 5 of any type of meat – we found some by visiting Butchers and going hunting.

It’s simple to dismount a Raptor using Turning Slash (R1+R2). Once the rider is off, you can approach and mount the Raptor as you would any other mount. Then, open your inventory and hold the A button (on Xbox) or X button (on PlayStation) while highlighting a food item to select “Feed” and give the Raptor something to eat.

Keep interacting with the Raptor until its Trust level reaches 100. Once it does, simply dismount using the Y button (on Xbox) or the Triangle button (on PlayStation), and it will become your permanent mount.
