Capcom recently released a free update for Resident Evil Requiem, adding a new minigame called “Leon Must Die Forever.” Once players finish the main game, they can unlock this challenging mode, where they take on increasingly difficult stages as Leon Kennedy as an optional bonus.
Leon Must Die Forever is a bonus game unlocked after finishing the main story in Resident Evil Requiem, no matter how easy or hard you play. It challenges players to defeat waves of enemies and a powerful boss within a time limit. The game features different difficulty settings, including a very difficult mode for experienced players. Successfully completing it rewards you with special abilities that can be used to improve your character in the main game.
A free update is now available for the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Similar to a popular mode added to Resident Evil 4 in 2023 called “Leon Must Die,” this update introduces a new challenge where players fight through waves of enemies against the clock. Fans enjoyed that previous mode as a fun, optional way to extend the gameplay, and this update aims to provide a similar experience.
Capcom and Sony Pictures just released the first trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil movie. The film, directed by Zach Cregger—known for his work on horror films like Barbarian—follows Austin Abrams as a courier tasked with delivering a crucial package to Raccoon City on the night the outbreak begins. This is Capcom’s third effort to adapt the popular Resident Evil video game series into a movie, following the action-focused films by Paul W.S. Anderson and the 2021 reboot, Welcome to Raccoon City, which wasn’t well-received.
The new Resident Evil movie will be released in theaters on September 18, 2026. You can also play Resident Evil Requiem right now on gaming consoles and computers.
