Techland launched Dying Light: The Beast in September, and it quickly became a highlight of the decade-old Dying Light series. The game brought back the character Kyle Crane, immersed players in a beautiful and detailed world, and ended on a note that sets up future installments.
A recent job posting suggests that Techland is already developing the next installment in the Dying Light series. They’re looking for a Lead Online Game Designer to help create a new online experience within the Dying Light world.
Is Dying Light 3 Coming Soon?
Techland considered ‘Dying Light: The Beast’ to be the third installment in the ‘Dying Light’ series, though it wasn’t officially called that. It’s been one of our highest-rated games of 2025 and fans who enjoy the zombie-action gameplay have really loved it. The ending hints at future content, but there’s currently no word on when the next game will be released.
It probably won’t be too long before we hear about their next project, as Techland seems to have already started working on it.
It’s unclear if the next project will be a complete game or a smaller addition, similar to what many believed ‘The Beast’ was. However, after speaking with the franchise director, Tymon Smektala, we’ve learned that there are plenty of ideas currently being developed for the future of Dying Light.
PCGamesN recently discovered a job posting at Techland seeking a Lead Online Game Designer. The posting indicated that this person would be responsible for creating the overall design and structure for a new online game within the Dying Light universe.
All Dying Light games, starting with the original in 2015, have always included online features. However, simply hearing the word ‘new’ is enough to excite fans about what’s coming next.
Let’s remember that none of this is official until confirmed, and it could just be a small, separate game.
