Xbox Already Making Console Change Based on Xbox Player Voice Community Feedback

Xbox Insiders on consoles are now testing an update that improves how playtime is tracked, based on feedback collected through the Xbox Player Voice program. The program itself is proving successful – players have clearly indicated they want more exclusive games. While delivering those games will take time, this update immediately addresses how playtime information is presented to players.

The Xbox Player Voice program lets Xbox players share their ideas and suggestions for improving the platform. Xbox listens to this feedback and makes changes when possible. Some ideas are implemented quickly, while others may take more time or not be feasible. This recent update is a direct result of player feedback received through the Player Voice program and was a relatively quick change to implement.

Xbox is Changing Playtime & How It’s Shown

Xbox Insiders are now testing an update that changes how playtime is displayed – switching from days to hours. This is a welcome change, and the quick response to player feedback is great. PlayStation owners can already see exactly how many hours they’ve played games like Apex Legends, but Xbox players previously had to manually calculate playtime from days using a calculator. While it’s not a major update, it’s a nice win for the Xbox Insider program and new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma.

As a racing game fan, I’m really excited to see Forza Horizon 6 topping the charts right now! It’s made by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, and honestly, it’s amazing. I’m hoping other racing games can keep up the quality we’ve seen so far, but things are definitely looking good for the genre!
