Two new games, Corsair Cove and Mariachi Legends, are coming to Xbox Game Pass on the day they are released in 2026. Offering new games on day one has become a major benefit of the Xbox Game Pass subscription, letting players access them immediately without needing to buy them separately.
As a Game Pass subscriber, I was a little bummed to see 9 games leave on April 30th – it’s just part of how the service works, but it’s always a shame when something you’re playing gets pulled. Still, I get that games rotate in and out, and it does keep the library feeling new and interesting!
Corsair Cove and Mariachi Legends Are Coming to Game Pass on Day One in 2026
Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play the pirate-themed city-building game, Corsair Cove, sometime in 2026, though a specific release date hasn’t been announced. Currently, Corsair Cove is only available on PC, so it will initially be accessible through Xbox Game Pass for PC. While Xbox’s upcoming Project Helix aims to allow play across both PC and consoles, potentially changing this in the future, console gamers will need to be patient to see if Corsair Cove is eventually released on Xbox Series X/S. The game has already generated a lot of excitement, with over 100,000 wishlists since its announcement a few weeks ago.

The rhythm-action platformer Mariachi Legends is scheduled to release in late 2026. Players with Xbox Game Pass will be able to enjoy it on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and via cloud gaming. Set in Mexico, this 2D Metroidvania features striking pixel art and, according to developer Halberd Studios, offers challenging, fast-paced combat – making it a great choice for players who like a tough game.
While fans will need to be patient for these specific games, Xbox Game Pass is offering a lot to play in May! The service is adding exciting titles like Forza Horizon 6, Mixtape, and Subnautica 2. With so many options, subscribers are sure to find something they enjoy, making the subscription worthwhile.
