While Goku is often the most popular character in the Dragon Ball series, Vegeta is almost as beloved and important. Many fans consider Vegeta to have the most compelling character development in the entire show, making him a particularly well-crafted character.
Vegeta is incredibly powerful, ranking among the strongest characters in all of Dragon Ball, particularly after mastering his Ultra Ego form. Given how much stronger he’s become, let’s consider some popular Shonen anime heroes who wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
Even Gear 5 Wouldn’t Be Enough To Save Luffy
Anime: One Piece
After the Wano arc, Luffy established himself as one of the strongest characters in One Piece by unlocking his Gear 5 transformation. This new power, gained from awakening his Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika fruit, gives him abilities that seem to let him bend reality.
Even with all the incredible abilities in One Piece, it wouldn’t stand a chance against Vegeta in the Dragon Ball universe. Now possessing the power of a Destroyer God, Vegeta surpasses Luffy in every way. While Luffy can alter reality, Vegeta’s sheer strength is on a completely different level, far beyond anything Luffy could handle.
Naruto Is Strong, But Vegeta Is Stronger
Anime: Naruto
Wow, watching Naruto grow throughout the series has been incredible! He started out as a bit of a goofball, but seriously leveled up. He learned so many amazing jutsu, unlocked powerful new forms, and it turns out he had this insane amount of chakra just waiting to be unleashed! Honestly, seeing him achieve Baryon Mode was a peak moment – it cemented him as one of the strongest ninja in the whole Naruto world, in my opinion!
Even with a significant power boost that makes Naruto incredibly strong, he’s still outmatched by Vegeta, even when Vegeta isn’t using his strongest transformations. Many fans think Vegeta could even beat Naruto while in his base form, without powering up at all.

Sukuna Is The Strongest In His Series, But Vegeta Is Stronger
Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen
In Jujutsu Kaisen, becoming stronger is a central theme, and Ryomen Sukuna embodies this as the series’ most powerful character. His incredible control over cursed energy and devastating techniques make him the strongest sorcerer ever seen.
Despite Sukuna’s immense power and devastating attacks, he wouldn’t stand a chance against Vegeta. Vegeta’s incredible strength and speed would allow him to defeat Sukuna instantly. Even Sukuna’s strongest ally, Mahoraga, would be easily defeated by a single energy blast from Vegeta.
All Might’s Quirk Can’t Save Him
Anime: My Hero Academia
All Might is widely considered the greatest hero due to his immense power, which comes from a Quirk called One For All. This Quirk is simple but incredibly effective: it grants the user extraordinary strength, speed, stamina, and resilience, along with improved senses and endurance, making them far more powerful than most.
All Might’s fighting style actually makes him an easy target for Vegeta. While All Might is powerful, Vegeta is simply on a different level, even without using any special transformations. Vegeta’s strength, speed, and overall abilities far surpass All Might’s, putting the hero at a significant disadvantage.
Yhwach Would Be An Interesting Fight For Vegeta
Anime: Bleach
Yhwach is widely considered the most powerful character in Bleach because of his incredibly strong ability, The Almighty. This power lets him see and change different possible futures, ensuring the outcome he wants always happens. Because of this, defeating him is nearly impossible.
Vegeta might be able to defeat Yhwach. Even though Vegeta is already much stronger physically, his Ultra Ego form lets him destroy things at a molecular level. This means he could erase Yhwach before Yhwach can react or alter the future, making for a potentially decisive battle.
Sung Jinwoo Is Currently Weaker Than Vegeta
Anime: Solo Leveling
Watching Solo Leveling, I’ve noticed a lot of parallels with Dragon Ball. Both stories really focus on getting stronger and the constant drive for more power. You see this perfectly in the main character, Sung Jinwoo – he’s worked his way up to become incredibly powerful, easily one of the strongest characters in the whole series.
While Jinwoo is incredibly powerful with his shadow abilities and physical strength, he’s still not as strong as Vegeta, especially when Vegeta reaches his ultimate form. A battle between them would be spectacular, but most fans think Vegeta’s Ultra Ego form would give him the win.
Saitama Would Give Vegeta His Toughest Fight
Anime: One Punch Man
It’s hard to create a character who can even challenge Saitama, because he was designed to satirize the over-the-top power levels often found in Shonen anime. He’s intentionally written as overwhelmingly powerful, existing as the strongest being in the universe, specifically to highlight how absurd power scaling can become in those shows.
A battle between Vegeta and Saitama could go either way, and fans on both sides are confident their favorite would win. Some Dragon Ball fans believe Vegeta’s Ultra Ego form is powerful enough to defeat Saitama, while One Punch Man fans are sure Saitama’s incredible strength and speed would overwhelm the Saiyan Prince. Either way, a fight between the two would be epic!
All these series can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
