Strong eye powers are incredibly common in popular action anime like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Jujutsu Kaisen. It seems like almost every powerful character in these shows has some kind of amazing eye ability, and this trend isn’t likely to stop anytime soon. When these abilities are used, battles usually become much more intense and exciting for viewers.
Eye-based powers are common in anime like Naruto and other action series, often becoming incredibly powerful weapons. It’s clear to any anime fan that the most impressive of these abilities offer far more than just visual enhancements – they truly change the course of battles.
9. Erasure Negates Quirks
My Hero Academia
Shota Aizawa, known as Eraserhead to his students at U.A. High School, is a very active professional hero in My Hero Academia. While his quirk, Erasure, isn’t as outwardly powerful as those of heroes like All Might and Endeavor, it proves incredibly useful throughout the series.
In My Hero Academia, Aizawa’s Quirk, Erasure, lets him temporarily disable most other Quirks as long as he’s looking directly at the person using them. How long Erasure lasts depends on how well Aizawa can concentrate and keep his target in view. This is why he always carries eye drops – they help him deal with the eye strain of using his Quirk for a long time.
8. Transparent World Gives Demon Slayers Massive Advantage
Demon Slayer
In Demon Slayer, accessing the Transparent World requires a character to have unlocked a demon slayer mark. This special ability lets demon slayers see through a person’s body, as if it were completely see-through, but it’s only available to those who’ve successfully awakened the rare demon slayer mark.
While the Transparent World is engaged, demon slayers can perceive details of their enemies’ bodies – things like blood flow, muscle movements, and breathing patterns. Tanjiro Kamado first unlocks this ability during his battle with Akaza in the first Infinity Castle film.
7. Jagan Unlocks Hiei’s Full Black Dragon Flame Potential
Yu Yu Hakusho
I’ve always been struck by Hiei in Yu Yu Hakusho and his incredible third eye. It’s called the Jagan, and it was actually implanted by a somewhat crazy scientist. This eye gives him amazing powers – it drastically boosts his strength and makes his fire attacks even more devastating.
When Hiei activates his Jagan eye, his signature black dragon flames grow incredibly powerful—so much so that even he has trouble controlling them. Becoming a high-ranking demon, Hiei also becomes much more ruthless, relentlessly attacking anyone who stands in his way.
6. Emperor Time Comes At the Cost of Kurapika’s Lifespan
Hunter x Hunter
In the anime Hunter x Hunter, Nen users are incredibly powerful fighters, and Kurapika is among the most formidable. When his eyes turn red, he enters Emperor Time, a state that makes him a Specialist and gives him total control over all types of Nen abilities.
When Kurapika uses his special eye power, he becomes a remarkably powerful fighter, able to adjust his strategy to overcome almost any enemy. But this incredible ability comes at a steep price: using it shortens his life and puts a tremendous amount of stress on his body, the longer it’s active.

5. Infinity Rush Is Jiren’s Signature Offensive Glare
Dragon Ball
Looking into Jiren’s eyes feels like staring into nothingness. He’s a truly frightening character in Dragon Ball, and his black, unreadable eyes show only immense power. When his eyes glow red, his opponents face a furious, overwhelming attack that’s almost impossible to follow or defend against.
Jiren fights so fast that he seems to stand still, making his punches nearly impossible to see or follow. Only fighters with exceptional senses, such as Goku and Vegeta, have a chance of defending against his incredibly swift attacks, like the Infinity Rush.
4. Gojo Satoru’s Six Eyes Is a Rare Inherited Ability
Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen
Gojo Satoru’s incredible strength in Jujutsu Kaisen is largely due to a rare ability called the Six Eyes. This power only appears within the Gojo Clan, and it’s uncommon for anyone to be born with it. Though a few people had the Six Eyes before Gojo Satoru, he’s the only one in history to possess it along with the Limitless technique.
I’ve observed that the Six Eyes is an incredible ability. It allows its user, like Gojo Satoru, to essentially ‘see’ how cursed energy flows within a person, making it incredibly easy to understand their abilities. What’s even more amazing is that it lets him identify cursed techniques just by looking at them, and he can even use techniques himself without draining his own energy. It really propelled him to become one of the most powerful characters in the series.
3. Sharingan Makes Every Fight A Mental and Physical Battle
Anime: Naruto
Okay, so everyone talks about the Rinnegan, but honestly, the Sharingan is just as amazing! Throughout both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, it was constantly shocking us with its power. It wasn’t just about cool visuals – the Sharingan trapped so many strong ninja in illusions, let its users instantly copy any technique they saw, and just generally took down enemies in the most surprising and brutal ways. It’s truly one of the most legendary eye powers in the whole series!
Sarada Uchiha’s Mangekyo Sharingan takes the Sharingan’s power to the next level. Her special technique, Ohirume, significantly increases its destructive capabilities.
2. Rinnegan Is the Ultimate Eye Power
Naruto
The anime Naruto is famous for its incredible eye powers, including the Three Great Dojutsu: the Sharingan, Byakugan, and Rinnegan. The Rinnegan is considered the most powerful of these, granting users god-like abilities like the Six Paths Technique.
As a huge fan of Naruto, I’m always blown away by the Rinnegan! It’s incredible seeing what characters like those from the Uchiha and Otsutsuki clans can do with it in battle. Take Madara, for example – his Limbo clones are seriously intimidating. And then there’s Sasuke, who can just switch places with anything nearby using Amenotojikara – it’s such a powerful ability!
1. The Almighty Grants Omnipotent Awareness
Anime: Bleach
King Yhwach is the main villain in Bleach and the ultimate challenge for Ichigo Kurosaki. As the Quincy King, he’s incredibly powerful and nearly impossible to defeat, possessing overwhelming abilities like “The Almighty.” This power truly lives up to its name, giving Yhwach god-like control and making him the dominant force in the Bleach universe.
Yhwach’s power comes from his many eyes, which let him see different possibilities of the future. This isn’t just about predicting what will happen; he can choose the best future for himself and prevent anything that might cause him to lose.
