Successorally, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was an unstoppable hit, yet it’s crucial to recall the humble beginnings of Lieutenant Demetrian Titus.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m pumped about today’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase! Not only did they reveal the exciting siege mode for Space Marine 2, but Games Workshop dropped a bombshell – Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition! This refreshed take on the original 2011 Space Marine game by SneakyBox is just around the corner, landing on our gaming screens on June 10. Can’t wait to jump back into the action!
As an enthusiastic gamer, I’m thrilled to share that this upcoming game is going to be accessible across multiple platforms! You can find it on Steam and GOG for PC gaming. For Xbox fans, it will also grace the screens of the Xbox Series X|S. And
But wait, there’s more! The game’s 8v8 multiplayer isn’t just limited to one platform. Whether you’re playing on PC or Xbox, you can join forces (or compete) with players across different versions, making for a truly unified gaming experience!
In addition to the latest update, this new version will also feature all the downloadable content from the initial game, similar to what’s offered in the existing Anniversary Edition.
In this game, Titus finds himself once more on the planet Graia’s Forge World, where he confronts Grimskull’s Orks and the malevolent forces of Chaos, which are being orchestrated by the sorcerer lord Nemeroth.
Improved Graphics And Modernized Controls

Given that the initial Space Marine was released about 14 years ago on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it’s clear that a modernization of its rather outdated control scheme and user interface would greatly enhance the experience.
The Master Crafted Edition aims to deliver precisely those elements, enhancing the game for today’s players, many of whom might have encountered Titus’s exploits primarily through its more contemporary sequels.
From the trailer, it’s challenging to pinpoint the specific adjustments made to the controls. However, one noticeable difference is the introduction of a radial menu for weapon selection, which deviates pleasantly from the original game. In the original version, I recall having to customize key bindings extensively to make it feel like a contemporary third-person shooter should.
The enhanced version of Space Marine, titled “Master Crafted Edition,” is designed to run in 4K resolution on both PCs and the Xbox Series X. Additionally, it features upgraded character designs, sharper textures, and remastered sound effects.
As a devoted follower, I can’t help but marvel at the unwavering commitment Games Workshop has shown towards their Space Marine franchise. From the latest iteration of the classic Space Marine, to the ongoing updates for Space Marine 2, and the tantalizing prospect of Space Marine 3 in our future, it seems the Imperium’s ultimate soldiers are here to stay as the iconic faces of Warhammer 40,000. No matter how fans choose to immerse themselves within this captivating universe, Games Workshop continues to deliver.
