Summary
- Enid and Wednesday form a close bond despite their differences in Season 1.
- Season 2 will challenge their friendship with darker plot twists and potential danger.
- Enid and Wednesday’s relationship faces tests as they get involved in mystery and murder at Nevermore.
Roommates Enid and Wednesday show stark contrasts in their personalities, preferences, and almost everything else. Enid exudes an upbeat energy that’s endearing, while Wednesday maintains a quiet, gothic composure. Regardless of these differences, they develop a strong connection at Nevermore, standing by each other through trials and tribulations during the initial season of Wednesday.
It’s advantageous that Enid and Wednesday often argue, even with light-hearted jabs, as these instances aid in their emotional maturity and character building. Interestingly, they seem to grow closer after their significant disagreement in Season 1. Despite resolving their issues quickly afterwards, it’s likely that Wednesday’s future adventures in Season 2 may put further strain on their friendship.
Enid & Wednesday Become Friends In Wednesday Season 1
Initially, Enid and Wednesday’s relationship is somewhat strained due to Wednesday’s aloofness towards Enid’s fondness for vibrant colors, tunes, and enthusiasm for life. Notably, Enid, the town gossip of Nevermore, often shares her thoughts about Wednesday on her blog, which unfortunately includes a spelling error in Wednesday’s last name. This small blunder transforms Wednesday into a topic of discussion, causing some irritation. While Wednesday might not openly show it, she undoubtedly feels somewhat annoyed by the situation.
On Wednesdays and Enid, there isn’t open hostility, but an evident strain between them, stemming from their contrasting personalities and the necessity to coexist in one place. The initial move Wednesday makes is redecorating her side of the spiderweb window, transforming it from Enid’s vibrant rainbow theme to a monochrome black and white style. This simple action sets the stage for their relationship, with the focal point representing their significant differences in preferences.
Initially, they maintain a cool distance, but gradually grow closer as Thing’s unexpected bond with Enid becomes significant. Not only is Enid a kind individual and an ideal roommate who complements her reserved, distant, and standoffish counterpart, but they both come to appreciate that they are mutually beneficial. Wednesday requires Enid’s assistance in concealing her detective activities concerning the monstrous incidents at Nevermore, while Enid relies on Wednesday during the Poe Cup. However, what truly binds them is their recognition that, in the bizarre, grim environment of Nevermore, they must stand together to endure.
Enid & Wednesday’s Season 2 Storyline — What To Expect

In the trailer for Season 2 of Wednesday, the main character enters their room to find a lively uproar. Amid the confusion, Enid cheerfully says hello, addressing her as “roommate.” In another part of the clip, Wednesday gives Enid a lifelike doll that seems to have human features. Despite feeling uneasy about the present, Enid points out its soft curls. In response, Wednesday flashes a mischievous grin and reveals that the curls are crafted from genuine human hair.
These encounters might seem trivial, but the true excitement comes from what follows next. In a different teaser, named “A Glimpse into the Addams Family,” we catch a glimpse of Enid almost scolding Wednesday, as she loudly expresses her feelings towards her.
It’s only the second day of school, and you’re already caught up in a gruesome murder investigation! Could it be that you’re under some sort of curse?”
“Just two days into the new school year, and you find yourself entangled in a ghastly murder mystery! Is there a curse upon you?
On Wednesday, her response isn’t audible, but she seems to be preparing a strong retort for her roommate. Enid’s demeanor in this situation is distinct from her typical cheerful persona; instead, she appears somewhat irritated or exasperated due to finding herself in more trouble. In one scene, Enid is bound, and in another, she’s depicted behind bars together with Wednesday and Morticia. These instances only heighten the curiosity about what’s unfolding at Nevermore. The reference to a “gruesome murder case” hints that things aren’t running as usual there.
How Wednesday Season 2 Can Test Enid & Wednesday’s Friendship

In Season 2, Enid and Wednesday’s relationship enters a fresh phase, but this progress comes with its share of challenges. It’s likely that Enid will be drawn into Wednesday’s investigations of mystery and murder, a situation she can’t easily avoid. As the story unfolds, it could delve deeper into darker territories, potentially making them both targets and leading them into various forms of trouble.
Previously in Season 1, Episode 6 titled “Quid Pro Woe”, there was a confrontation between Enid and Wednesday. This altercation led to Enid gathering her belongings and moving in with Yoko to avoid spending time with Wednesday. Their disagreement stemmed from an incident at the Gates Mansion. Enid grew distant from Wednesday following a deceptive invitation for a seemingly harmless girls’ night out or a “birthday re-do” as Wednesday termed it. In truth, Wednesday utilized this ruse to escape the school during lockdown, and Enid justifiably scolded her for placing them both in peril.
On Wednesday, you’re willing to exploit anyone for your desires, without regard for their safety. Our lives might have been at risk tonight, all due to your reckless fixation.
On Wednesday, she asserts that she’s making progress with the investigation, but Enid appears distressed due to her peers’ peculiar actions and their refusal to take responsibility for their actions.
It appears that history might be echoing in the trailer as Enid labels her roommate as “cursed.” Undeniably, _Wednesday_ Season 2 seems to amplify the murder and turmoil, but Enid simply desires a tranquil school experience. Given that it’s just the beginning of the academic year, plunging into chaos immediately isn’t an optimal situation for anyone.
On August 6th, the second season of “Wednesday” will kick off as Part 1, followed by the release of Part 2 on September 3rd.
