Donkey Kong Bananza cast spoilers follow.
Players speculate they’ve uncovered hints suggesting two new characters might be added to Mario Kart World: Void Kong and King K. Rool. Although this hasn’t been officially verified, the community has identified potential clues within the game’s credits that may indicate additional racers will be incorporated into the game at a later time.
The newly released version of Mario Kart boasts a sizable cast of playable characters, with 50 racers in total in the Mario Kart Universe. Despite this, there are several iconic Nintendo figures that fans hope might have been included, even those from beyond the immediate Mario series. As for additional content, Nintendo has yet to comment on DLC for the latest Mario Kart game, leaving fans eagerly anticipating any potential developments within the game itself.
Reddit user prpro-03 has revealed an interesting find: the voice actors behind King K. Rool and Void Kong from different games are also credited in Mario Kart World. Specifically, Yuu Hayashi (who played Void Kong) and Tsuguo Mogami (King K. Rool in Donkey Kong Bananza) have been listed among the game’s voice actors. This has led players to speculate that these characters may appear in Mario Kart World at some point, either as a free update or through additional paid content.
Mario Kart World DLC Characters Theory Examined
In other words, although it’s plausible that these two actors could become playable characters in “Mario Kart World” at some point, there are certain aspects to think about. Unlike in “Donkey Kong Bananza,” where they were specifically linked to their roles, the characters in “Mario Kart World” credits don’t correspond directly with individual actors. This means that just because these actors are involved doesn’t automatically mean they voiced the same two characters in “Mario Kart World.” It might be that they were assigned as background characters or additional crowd voices instead.
Yuu Hayashi and Tsuguo Mogami have worked on various video games, but as per Yuu’s credit list, he had never been part of a Nintendo game before Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza. In contrast, Mogami has collaborated with the company in the past, voicing characters such as Spewart in Super Mario Odyssey, Pigma Dengar across several Star Fox games, and most prominently, Demise in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Currently, Nintendo hasn’t officially announced any plans to include additional racers in Mario Kart World. But considering the game’s impressive performance and the fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe already features characters outside of the Mario universe, it’s reasonable to expect that well-known Nintendo characters might be added to the roster in the future.
