Pokemon Fans Think Lida Is Related to One Gen 6 Character

The latest Pokemon Presents event has disclosed some fresh details about the upcoming game titled Pokemon Legends: Z-A. This new installment is set to introduce a couple of new characters, whom fans speculate could be connected to some well-known figures from the original Generation 6 titles. The storyline unfolds in Lumiose City, believed to be more than a decade following the events depicted in the Pokemon X and Y games. Previously confirmed to feature popular characters from the Generation 6 series, such as Emma and AZ (the immortal one), Pokemon Legends: Z-A is expected to be set in Lumiose City, presumably over a decade after the events of the Pokemon X and Y games.

In earlier previews for “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”, numerous fresh characters were shown who are expected to significantly impact the game’s narrative. However, some enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the possible reappearance of beloved Gen 6 characters in the forthcoming edition. The most recent Pokemon Presents broadcast offered fans a lot to ponder, such as a new trailer for “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”, which presented several new characters and officially revealed Mega Dragonite.

In contrast to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which introduced entirely new characters, Legends Z-A set in the modern Kalos region seems to be drawing from its predecessors by connecting some of its newly presented characters to familiar faces. The latest game trailer introduces Lida and Naveen, who players will meet during their journey through the revamped Lumiose City. Many fans have observed online, such as Reddit user Vacino_21, that Lida appears to be connected to Tierno from Pokemon X and Y games due to certain visual similarities and a shared love for dancing.

Lida May Not Be The Only New Legends: Z-A Character Who’s Connected to Other Gen 6 Faces

Although linking these two characters may appear tenuous due to their shared general traits, modern Pokemon games have endeavored to establish connections between new and old characters within the game’s universe, such as in Pokemon Legends: Arceus where it introduced a plethora of “ancestor” characters. These characters are often not explicitly declared as ancestors, but rather players are invited to draw connections based on striking resemblances in their physical appearances. However, it remains uncertain how exactly Tierno and Lida might be related, though it seems most plausible that they could be siblings considering the circumstances.

In the recently unveiled trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, a new character named Naveen seems to share some striking resemblances with Grant, the gym leader from Pokemon X and Y, particularly in hairstyle. It’s also hinted that another character from the same games, Mable, a Team Flare scientist and antagonist, will be making a comeback in Legends: Z-A. However, unlike Grant, Mable might not be as well-known to many, having served as the acting director of the Lumiose City Pokemon Lab, replacing the beloved Professor Sycamore.
