In the upcoming event titled “Cozy Companions,” Pokemon GO will introduce several fresh Generation 8 Ice-type Pokemons. This event functions much like other activities within the game, allowing players to augment their Pokedex by discovering new Pokemon and experiencing special Wild Encounters. Additionally, participants can gain extra Experience Points (XP) through various engaging bonus opportunities and research tasks.

Players of Pokemon GO can anticipate several exciting events happening in August, such as Fossil Research Day and the August 2025 Community Day for Pokemon GO. Back in June, users were given the opportunity to vote on which Pokemon would be featured during the August 2025 Pokemon GO Community Day, and Flying-type Rookidee came out on top. This means that more Rookidees will appear in the wild, and players will have a higher chance of encountering a Shiny version of Rookidee during this time.

The Cozy Companion event in Pokemon GO, starting August 6 at 10:00 AM and ending on August 12 at 8:00 PM local time, will introduce two Ice-type Pokemon from Gen 8 – Snom and its evolution, Frosmoth. To evolve Snom into Frosmoth, players must collect 400 Snom Candy after earning 10 Hearts with Snom as their buddy. Notably, Snom can only evolve into Frosmoth during the nighttime hours, as pointed out by Niantic.
