Pokemon TCG Pocket Hosting Blissey Drop Event for Limited Time

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (Pocket) has initiated a special, time-limited event, with the Blissey ex promo card being the primary prize. In these Drop events, Pokémon TCG Pocket gamers can earn promotional cards by defeating AI opponents in battles, along with other incentives that aid them in advancing their accounts.

In Generation 2, we were introduced to Blissey, a Pokemon that evolves from Chansey upon reaching maximum friendship when leveling up. This unique creature sports an egg-like shape with half pink and half white coloring, and it carries an egg that has the power to soothe angry Pokemon and instill kindness in people. Blissey has made several appearances in the anime, one of the most memorable being Brock’s Blissey from “Pokemon: The Arceus Chronicles.” Now, this beloved character takes center stage in “Pokemon TCG Pocket.

New Pokemon TCG Pocket Event Features Blissey EX Card as Main Reward

In simpler terms, the game Pokemon TCG Pocket is offering a special Blissey EX promo card as the primary reward for its latest drop event, which began on August 6th. This event runs until August 16th, during which players can engage in battles against AI opponents. Alongside the Blissey EX card, players can also collect promotional Pokemon TCG Pocket cards featuring Chinchou, Horsea, Houndoom, and Kangaskhan by opening packs. As players complete missions such as utilizing three Basic Pokemon cards and winning a battle within 14 turns, they will receive shop tickets, Event Hourglasses, Stardust, and Wonder Hourglasses.

  • Date: Wednesday, August 6, to Saturday, August 16
  • New cards: Blissey ex, Kangaskhan, Horsea, Chinchou, and Houndoom

This initial Blissey card, designed by PLANETA CG Works and boasting a drop rate of 12.66%, is exclusive to Pokemon TCG Pocket. In contrast, the Kangaskhan card is an updated version that came with the launch of the Wisdom of Sea and Sky set, showcasing artwork by Toshinao Aoki. Players have a 15.82% chance of obtaining it.

Previously existing cards for Horsea, Chinchou, and Houndoom are already part of the game, but the promotional versions feature unique illustrations by Taira Akitsu, Aya Kusube, and Kagemaru Himeno respectively. These promotional cards can be found in 23.84% of the packs opened by players.

At this Pokémon event centered around Normal-Type Pokémon, an excellent strategy for players might be building decks centered around Fighting-Type Pokémon instead. Notable decks include Donphan ex, which can defeat almost all non-ex basic cards in a single hit, and Rampardos as a backup plan. Additional helpers could be Rockruff, Lycanroc, trainers like Giovanni, Rare Candy, and Iono during the event.
